This was adorable. I like how Tony knows that Pepper's caved without her saying anything. & him buying the shelter & keeping the staff fits with his billionaire philanthropist vibe. Calling her Puppy is so...Tony, that it's not even funny. She's gonna be spoiled rotten.

""You love it," Pepper replies, turning her head to kiss him quiet for even a moment.

"You..." Tony says, expression softening into what she calls "her" Tony. Not Stark, not Iron Man, just Tony.

"I, what?" she asks, leaning her head back on his shoulder.

"No," Tony says, "Not you. Well, yes, you, but...You. That I... it's not "it," it's "you.""

"You've lost me, genius," Pepper says, closing her eyes and enjoying the warm sun on her face.

Tony clears his throat and is quiet for a moment before responding.

Read this on tumblr earlier today. Too cute. I've had this same idea rolling around in my head, but I'm glad you wrote it. I like the way he says I love you in not so many words, haha. And the way he refers to her as Mama at the end...just...ahh...proof that Tony Stark has a heart, haha

This is so cute! I really love the way that Tony immediately goes for the runty-looking puppy...and the way he just decides to buy the whole pound is classic. I liked how Pepper was amazed when he said he loved her too because I feel like, coming from someone like Tony, that would be something that would take her-or anyone-completely by surprise.

Awww, I just love this! It's everything I hoped for, especially with Tony buying the shelter.
