LittleLurker chapter 1 . 2/7/2018 I very much loved this story! To me it sounds very believable and you keep both of them completely in character. Also LOVED the "brickable smile" and the very last sentence was gold. Any chance of you writing more stories from the absurd side of your mind? I would definitely read them! |
Spock chapter 1 . 5/1/2013 Mine is green. Always has been. |
Book girl fan chapter 1 . 3/20/2013 I agree, that is a fabulous mental image! I loved how you characterized everyone, it felt so authentic. |
sevenpercent chapter 1 . 10/24/2012 I love this! It is just so perfect as an example of the totally disconnected way that they try to communicate. I think your John is being a bit too willing to ridicule what Sherlock is trying to explain; would he be more "bemused" about how it works than trying to just poke fun at it? As ever, your writing inspires me to consider the same theme, but from the perspective of the Sherlock character that I am writing in my story "talking when you're not there". |
Raxacoricofallapatorian17 chapter 1 . 9/25/2012 Hahaha! That was hilarious! Nice change from the previous angst. I love your idea of the mind palace! |
hanging in there chapter 1 . 8/26/2012 Witty. I especially liked "getting on your case." |
Blue Dragon of Rivendell chapter 1 . 7/13/2012 That was humerous. Now I have a ridiculous image of Sherlock's purple tinted mind palace filled with cats. The dialogue is great, especially John's witty remarks. Perhaps you could write more lighter, fluffy Sherlock fics. :) |
Basil Allegri chapter 1 . 7/8/2012 That was truly funny. Bordering on hilarious, but not quite. I love their conversations. Purple-tinted and full of cats indeed. |
Aileil chapter 1 . 7/7/2012 Somehow I always thought there'd be books in there. Lots and lots of books. I also sort of thought it was made of porcelain but purple tinted glass makes sense too I suppose. I really like your story and I've actually made a few changes to MY imaginary library thanks to it. I have added a cat so that when I'm bored I can talk aloud without FEELING like I'm talking to myself. Your story was actually quite helpful. However my elder brother was being about as helpful with the renovations as John here was being with Sherlock's thoughts. Thanks. |
ravenoak21 chapter 1 . 6/27/2012 Hi. this was great fun. Lots of chuckles. I do love these two. Thanks. |
SentimentalDefect chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 hahahahahahahaa! Oh I adore this :) especially in comparisgn to all your other (although very lovely) dark, post-Reichenbach stories, I really liked this lighter piece of fluff. The purple glass mind palace... Of course. You really nailed al the dialogue beyond perfect, which is always what makes me fall in love with a story. Great job! |
Esther Kirkland chapter 1 . 6/22/2012 Ohmaiwurd...I LOVE this! I'm sitting in the public lounge of my dorm, and people keep giving me strange looks for my repressed chortling at the computer screen. You do Sherlock's choppy-but-wordy voice so well, and also manage to capture John's attitude. Brickable smile...I'm going to have to remember that phrase. Personally, I am interested in the reason behind the color, and I would like to know more about the cat case...but that's just me. :) Oh, and I love the way you had the lists of "cat" entries in Sherlock's mind - you did very well getting across the same sense as the show does in the scene from 'Hounds'. Nicely done! |
Missmia196 chapter 1 . 6/21/2012 Light, funny, and completely believable. A job jolly well done, good sir. |
chaoticmom chapter 1 . 6/21/2012 I almost choked on a triscuit laughing over the 'purple tinted glass palace filled with cats' line. Loved it. I am curious about the purple part though. lol take care |
Dlvvanzor chapter 1 . 6/20/2012 Oh, that was fantastic. XD Showed their relationship perfectly. John TOTALLY would go out of his way to drive Sherlock nuts. Well done! :D |
