Wow. Okay, I've read Kate Griffin's books, which, yes, are super interesting, and this is also super interesting. Sentient Speed Force has pretty much always been my headcanon, so this is awesome.

When I first started reading this, I was concerned because it seemed choppy, but I think it actually fits with the pace of the story, sort of like the speed of a speedster's thoughts. It's really impressive. Thank you for writing this!

Oh. My. God. Wow. That was... shit, that was fucking AMAZING. That was BEAUTIFUL and I feel SO FUCKING INSPIRED RIGHT NOW, you have NO IDEA. A sentient Speed Force... you know, I'd actually thought about it before, and also that the Speed Force is a higher plane of existence that speedsters tap into, but I'd never seriously contemplated writing it and now I probably never will because HOW DO YOU TOP THAT?

This, the poetry and eloquence of your writing, reminds me of blackkat's works in the Naruto fandom. She's something of a celebrity there. In particular, it makes me thinks of Stormborn- which has a similar topic of a sentient being except hers is a city- and backslide- because she was a lot more descriptive in that fic and elegant in her writing like this one.

That was so EPIC and AMAZING! And why is this only ONE chapter, this story was so beautifully written I need you to keep writing for the sake of my own sanity please. I love this story the way Wally was pretty much made of lightning and pure energy and sings to the wind and its all wonderfully poetic. first of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this piece. usually, with a fic i really, really like/adore/HOLY CRAP WHAT IS THIS MAGIC THIS WRITTEN PERFECTION AAAAAAHHH i can always find some sort of error, a grammatical mistake, a misspelling, typo maybe? but with this (and i can't exactly guarantee that there are NO mistakes (sorry! is this rude? ;A;) i mean but with this i was reading too fast because oh, oh, christ, this is so beautiful and perfect and vivid and glorious. and the voice of this is so WALLY

-Fate lets go of him like he's on fire.

Probably because he is.

The helmet comes off, and Wally's hair is damp with sweat and his face is pale and he's confused and not all the way in his body and he's certainly not alone, but he is free.

He's also a few hundred feet in the air.

"I am so stupid," he tries to say, but he's not in his body enough to move his mouth yet. He'll feel the impact, though, he's sure, because that's just his luck. He was taken over by a wizard who shouldn't exist because, oh yeah, magic isn't real, and got mindcontrolled and taken slave and then kicked out by said wizard, and now he's about to fall from a great height onto a stone tower because he doesn't think things through, apparently.-

-He collapses, because holy hell, okay, he's just lived through possession, anti-possession, repossession, a hurricane and a lightning strike, and he sees the stone floor coming up to meet him, and it just freaking figures, okay, with the day he's been having.

Besides, he had to hit the ground sometime.-

and especially the sentient voice of the lightning, the speed force, it gives this piece a kind of out of earth beauty, like

there's a moment alone in the dark with the sounds and

no, he says without saying

and there's the warmth of the wind and the touch of the turning

and all he can say is

don't let me die

and, yes, the breeze tells him, so soft through his hair

and yes says the whisper that steals through the air

and he laughs in the light as he opens his arms

oh yes, he answers, and smiles at freedom

yes, joy answers, and sets afire his veins

He still dreams, though, in yellow and heat.

He closes his eyes and falls into the static, the warmth and buzz, and the slick slide of wind. It comes up to meet him, and bears him off flying, soaring the dreaming on lightning-flash wings. He's fast here, so fast, and never alone, for

mine sings the rush of the breeze through the byway

and I give unto you of myself and my own

and he knows this and smiles and answers so softly

and I am your wings and your heart and your soul

Wow! I seriously loved that :) I love the ending especially and I'm glad someone wrote a fanfic about the speedforce since the DC comics animated shows never talk about it and I've been missing it from the comics. Sorry for the short review, I just can't find anything wrong with it hahahaha.
