This is such a wonderful story! I read some of First Cut, stopped when I realized it might have been too long for me, but now I feel like I must go back and read the rest of it. Your stories are so amazing! I adore them. Thank you for being so great!

Reading this made me realized the fact that neither Minerva nor Severus hasn't said the words 'I love you' to the other in 'First Cut' and even in any of the first 4 chapters of 'Living in the Shadows' yet... I know that this isn't how the abovementioned fics are going to end, as you said so yourself, esp the sequel, but it's a lovely and happy ending to a MMSS fic, so it went straight to my fave list! Thank you for this, and I hope you continue writing the sequel 'Living in the Shadows'!

Two things. Ok, they won't be only two things because I ramble a lot, but it was a way to start.
Firstly, you've made me cry. This was more than sweet and good, it was excellent (I'll need to learn more adjectives to describe your work) and it's going directly into my favorites because I can't wait to re-read it.
Secondly, I love that the characters and the story line is taken from The First Cut, because now that you've made it clear it won't end like this, if I don't like the ending I just have to come back to You and Me. ;)

I don't think this story ruins "First Cut" at all. Just because we know what's going to happen doesn't necessarily mean we know how or when or why it's going to happen. We have the general picture of the puzzle, and now you have to fill in the other pieces. I enjoyed reading this very much, and I look forward to more from you!

I like this story, but you gave away your happy ending for First Cut..which I've been diligently reading. there's no reason to finish it now that you already showed what's going to happen;they get together, have an affair, Dumbledore is killed, they fight, she destroys the piano, Severus almost dies and then this story'You and me' is the finishing touch..which I did enjoy don't get me wrong..I just wish people would finish their original stories before moving on to the sequels...

I was having a really horrid birthday...until I read this.
