This is pretty cool as it stands, or maybe expanded a little, with a good dramatic, emotional situation

Mostly, I believe the pros of a longshot would be character development. However, with your stories, this is not the case. With your sequels, they can be read without needing to know anything from your other stories. Also, most of your stories are tied by a plot line, a continuation of sorts, anyway. Whatever you choose to do is fine, just please, continue! -

That was pretty intense, and I think it's very cruel to force Kyouko to attempt to murder Mami. I don't know what's up with this mystery magical girl but, to put it mildly, I don't think very much of her.

I feel you owe some kind of explanation for her actions (I bet they tie into Kyouko's nighttime disappearances) and absolutely, some kind of resolution. Oh! I wonder if it's a love rival. That would be super crazy if she tried to force Kyouko to kill Mami so she could get Kyouko for herself!

Anyway, whether it's a longshot (the opposite of a one-shot?) or a sequel depends on just how much more story there is to tell. Either way would make me happy, so long as you can bring a satisfying conclusion to the story.
