A brilliant and unique story. Your narrative style isn't quite like anything I've ever seen before, and what's more, it works. You give that feeling of mysterious melancholy that this story needs, and I just found that it sucked me in (metaphorically speaking, as well). It's a strange concept, but it works, and I for one really felt for the characters. The only real problem I can see with this fanfic is that Shadow's dialogue seems a bit out of character, but the given the unusual situation, it's perfectly excusable.

In short, this fanfic is brilliant, and it's made it's way into my favourites list and C2 archive.

This is one of the most beautifully written fanfics I've ever read! Maria sounds so lovely and hers and Shadow's relationship is truly emotionally expressed through this! Wish there were more Shadow/Maria fics like this! WOW!

Very nice. Though I'm not the world's greatest Shadow fan, it was very nice. Much better than the other "Shadow Lives!" fics. Nicely written, very mysterious. Though this probably wasn't meant fro continuity's sake, we can say this coul happen. The Heroe's Shadow's a clone and Battle takes place after (at least, the Japanese version does) and Shadow died in X. Very nice.
