Hi! I was just passing through when I stumbled upon this gem of a one-shot! Astrid is by far my favorite character, and I absolutely love it when people catch the complexity and intricacies of her depth as a character - she is strong, absolutely, but she is also much more than that. I also just love the idea of Hiccup and Astrid as a couple too - they make the perfect balance and the most amazing team! You captured their essence perfectly, and I really thank you for putting this on here!

I love this! I feel like Astrid is one character that yes, we know well, but would we know how she reacts to certain things? She can be a bit of a wild card. I think you pegged her perfectly.

VERY nicely done. Everyone was in character, and I love the depth you gave to Astrid. That always struck me as her character as well - she considered the safety of Berk above everything else.

This is quite possibly the best character study I have ever read. It flowed like a real story, easy to read with plausible interaction, everyone was in character.

The way that you said Astrid did it because she was protecting Berk really fit into her character - you made it surprisingly simple and deep. Keep going! Maybe a post-Snoggletog study? XD
