this was so good! Thank you very much for writing this, it brought me, and i am profoundly sure many others, joy. There is little better mending to one's soul them a good old fashioned "hurt zuko" fic. 33 :)

Okay, what irritates me is how this story has some of the BEST Zuko in-characterness in all of the fandom, and yet has not nearly enough reviews. Seriously though, this could not be more underrated. NICE JOB!

Wow! That was fantastic! A little Gaang bonding, though I did miss Toph. Ah well, burnt feet and all. DAMN OZAI IS A BITCH! Poor Zuko, I know what it's like to have parents and a sibling that are jerks, it's not easy. I can relate to Zuko and that is one reason I love him so much. Oh yeah, and he's sexy :) This gave great descriptions of Zuko's pain, injury, and the healing. Also the action was captivating! Awesome!

*sob* I was in tears after I read this for the first time and if I hadn't been the only one in the room, somebody surely would've asked me, why I sobbed in front of my laptop. One of the greatest Avatar-Last Airbender stories I've read. That goes right to my Favourite Stories. :)))

I think this story has some real potential. I'm a sucker for Hurt!Zuko fics and this is one of the better concepts out there (and trust me, I have read hundreds...). You have a lot of compelling actions and the story takes a good focus on the characters.

I think the chapters could be stronger with some careful editing. The guy made of rubber jumps out and surprises Zuko, but he also surprises the reader and confuses them a little. Taking a little time to describe the action so the reader can envision it more carefully will greatly improve the flow of the story. Also I can notice little things that are easy to correct and will help bump your writing up to the next level. Many of the paragraphs in the action sequence start with "Zuko did..." "Zuko ran..." "Zuko jumped..." "Zuko looked..." and so on. While not incorrect, it does get repetitive.

My last suggestion would be to minimize the s-stuttering dialogue. You can use it a few times and describe it well and then go back to normal dialogue. It will help the rest of the dialogue flow. I found myself tripped up every time Zuko spoke rather than simply hearing the stammering words in my head.

I say this, however, not because I think the work is bad, but because I really like the idea and I would love to read it some more and see it get better. I think you have so much potential with this fic to create something that grips and entertains the reader and you have a good potential audience waiting for it. I very much hope that you continue working on this fic!
