Erin Elric chapter 4 . 1/19/2017
Poor Scott should have stayed home lol. But I guess he learned a valuable lesson in all of this :)
Darkflame's Pyre chapter 4 . 8/16/2012
Man. Scotty really didn't have the best day, but there were a few lights there that made it all better in the end. I've been having doubts about my future, so this was made all the better to read.

I had to laugh at the idea of Virgil needing the eight shades of black. I didn't even know that was possible!

Both Dad and Grandma are going to have questions. His limbs and face will be scratched from his trip into the ditch, and then there's his twisted ankle to consider too. Loved Virgil and the hot chocolate bit!

Lovely little fic, don't you love it when things work out better than expected? I enjoyed this immensely! Xx
WolfLeap chapter 4 . 6/11/2012
Hey there, Bee

First of all, it's nice to meet you! I have really enjoyed this story, it sort of reminds me of my slight misadventures when I was younger (although I can say it's nothing like what Scott went through!).

Your writing-style is superb! You made me feel sympathetic towards Scott when he felt miserable or angry ... it takes a good writer to be able to do that. And for that, I will be favouriting this story immediately! Well done!

I look forward to more updates from you ).

McHammy chapter 4 . 5/26/2012
Luck just wasn't with Scott that night was it? But then again he met Cassie, realised just what he did have and what he could do with it and a younger brother who could get him out of trouble!

Fancy lying to Grandma - do they not know she has a rolling pin? LOL

Great story Bee - hope you're much better now. x
Sunny7777 chapter 4 . 5/24/2012
Fantastic ending:) Scott's night really was a disaster but the few blessings he got, I guess made it all worth while. The moment between him and Virg was wonderful. Great work. Really enjoyed this.
Angel-Sue76 chapter 4 . 5/23/2012
Poor Scott that was a bit of a nightmare for a birthday night out. Though the pizza place part wasn't so bad. Can just picture Scott washing dishes hee hee.

aww Virge was waiting up for him and worried, that's just so sweet. Loved the little scene between them and him blaming Scott for the mess in the kitchen.

Great little story. I really enjoyed this.
grnfield chapter 4 . 5/23/2012
Aw, what a great story! I also cannot write one-shots, they're just too hard!

Great work!
TBMom chapter 4 . 5/22/2012

bubzchoc chapter 4 . 5/22/2012

Whirlgirl chapter 4 . 5/22/2012
What a great little story. A night to remember for sure. Loved how every time Scott felt all puffed up with power he got an instant karmic smack-down! Pondering life over dirty dishes in a pizza parlor. It all became clear when he understood how lucky he was to be able to walk away. Home at last. A whole lot humbler and content than when he left. Yay, Virge waited up for him even when Jeff and Grandma had gone to bed. It's not Scott he doubts but what the world could throw at him. AWW, Scott got his hot chocolate! Grandma's coming! QUICK HIDE! Great moment! And the model plane that Gordon and Alan put so much care and time into to give to their big brother SO Sweet! He's got a great family and a life full of opportunity and now that he knows it the future looks bright! Really enjoyed this!
thunderbird5 chapter 4 . 5/22/2012
Awe. I really like this chapter. At least Gordon and Alan didn't put something in his bed that could snap at him. Hehehe!
KayValo87 chapter 4 . 5/22/2012
Just goes to show you Scott; the grass may always be greener, but it will never top good brothers. :)

Great story, but I expected nothing less.

BTW, chocolate? Isn't that supposed to be the universal remedy of emotional problems for a GIRL? He's lucky Gordon wasn't awake to know about it. ;)
Loopstagirl chapter 4 . 5/22/2012
Oh my goodness, what an absolutely perfect ending to a perfect story. Poor Scott's luck really was out to get him, even by the beginning of this chapter.

But aww, things finally looked up. Okay, spending your 18th birthday washing up can't be great (I was washing socks in a sink on mine, does that beat it?), but it gave him the time he needed in order to realise how lucky he was to have what he did in his life. Had to laugh at the fact that he still couldn't have a proper conversation with Cassie without it getting interrupted. Who, I might add, is now officially my new favourite OC you've ever written and you better bring her back! (Just a small hint...)

Had to completely melt at that last scene with Virg. Off to the rescue, even covering with Grandma... just a sign of what he is going to be doing in the future then. And yay, Scott got a proper birthday present from his brothers, they do know him well really...

An absolutely brilliant story! Thank you so much for an awesome birthday present!
KayValo87 chapter 3 . 5/22/2012
Isn't that always how it works? Someone as straight laced as Scott could never really have fun breaking the rules. (I speak from experience, you are always too concerned with getting caught. Of course, in my case I wasn't breaking any rules per say ...)

Anyway, I look forward to the conclusion. :)
KayValo87 chapter 2 . 5/22/2012
You know, John and Virgil's names were mentioned quite a few times for it to not have been overheard by someone. Wonder if that is going to come back to bite them ...

Oh, and I simply LOVED the part when Scott threw Jay against the wall. Nobody but nobody talks about HIS little brother like that and gets away with it. :)

SIDE NOTE: I'm happy to see that this is going to be a short story because i will not have to wait log for the ending. However, I've always liked to see your stories last a while. I'm torn ... *sigh*
