Yeah, the corpalis thing. :( It's a toughie. Heartbreaking, yet sweet. I love the idea of them having a whole pile of years of good and bad, and then moments like at the end ... quiet time together. A lovely read.

Oh, my god I am a sobbing mess. I have no words, just, the depth, in every carefully crafted line- this is beautiful in it's normalcy, of two people who grew old together and going through the pain and joy of it all. This is so well-done.

Don't worry, I decided after my first playthrough to not aknowledge the ending, and so this works wonderfully for me! :D It does make me sad though, Garrus is so sweet. Sigh. Why can't they just live happily together forever? lol

It seems like fighting never leaves these two, does it? Whether it's a Reaper invasion, or Corpalis Syndrome, they're both on the front lines, and they always have each other's backs.

This is a far sweeter version of the corpalis ending for Garrus than many of the other versions I've read. At least this one didn't make me cry. Kudos for this, very well handled, and realistic, I think.

I've always wondered what their lives would be like after the defeat of the Reapers (head canon ignores the original ending and most of the extended cut dlc). Unfortunate that Garrus inherits the disease that took his mother, but they did get to live a long and happy life together, even had children - adopted and fostered, maybe, but still theirs.

I like how this turned out, not 100% happy - which is realistic - but still they got to live good lives together.

Wow. This is really a great little story. I'd say I wished there were more, but I think it's just about perfect the way it is now. I love the idea of their adopted children, their multi-species family, and I love that you've left a lot of details about their lives together to the reader's imagination. Fantastic work.

Absolutely lovely. Well-written and smart. It never occurred to me that the bit about Garrus's mother could be used in this way. Your assessments of how all the other characters would react make perfect sense to me-it was thoughtful to include them.

Nicely done. This really touched my heart. Life doesn't always go as planned and it is nice to see a fanfic that "goes there" and shows that "love never fails".
