Soma was all like: you can't catch me gay thoughts! *runs* lol but really, this fanfiction was a beautiful addition to the scarce collection of somagni content out there, very well written!

This is wonderful! This story actually left me with a silly smile on my face by the end, it was so lovely. Your writing style is truly beautiful and poetic.

I love your characterisation of Soma. You really feel for him, for his fragile self-esteem, fright, misery and conflict. He feels very real in your narrative, and has a lot of emotional depth. I just wanted to comfort him and tell him everything would be okay (luckily, Agni came eventually)! He's a complex character, a merge of innocence and curiosity, confidence with no self-esteem, impulsive and regretful - and he just works so well as a character! It was a sad gesture when he looked into the fountain and slammed his fist into the water to distort his reflection.

Agni was perfect too, so warm, emotional and completely in-character (you can't really blame Soma, it's hard not to fall for Agni in this story!). The way he's calm and composed in Soma's flashbacks, and whilst rescuing him, then becoming overcome with emotion once they got back... that's just spot-on and shows the key sides to his character. Both of them are so sweet!

It's touching and endearing how they both blame themselves initially and worry about the other like they do. Their reactions were possibly my favourite part of the story: Agni crying when Soma wakes up, and Soma dissolving into hysterical laughter after Agni says he loves him, then Agni looking frightened from this. It's just perfectly in line with their characters and well thought out.

I went and looked up the titular song, then reread this, and gosh, it's chilling! You can kind of imagine this playing as a silent movie (accompanied by the song) as a John Lewis advert... not quite sure what it would advertise, but it would be cool!

Fantastic oneshot :) (P.S. Your Authors Note at the start made me laugh. The are indeed a pair who lead to angst/hurt/comfort XD)

So, I totally love this fic, especially the part when Soma wakes up and Agni's all relieved, but all I could think while Soma was running at the beginning was "You can't catch me, gay thoughts!". But seriously, A stuff here, keep it up!

Oh my gosh this was so cute! Even though you said it had a happy ending, I still kinda freaked out for a moment there that Soma was going to die in the slums or something like that. And he sounds so cute as a child (as you write him) I just wanted to hug him! *squeals*
