Lovely, there was a series of "aww" and "thats really sweet" coming from me while reading this piece.

This was really beautiful. It was very well-written and it had a romantic rhythm on its own, even without the spanish song. The way you capture the feelings and the first tense you use makes everything so much more realistic.

Interesting how you count it as leaving thre times not just two. Mai is so sweet here, which I not a word I would normally use to describe her, but it works. And while I don't know anywhere near enough Spanish to be able to read the other version, I can at least tell enough to say the flow of the story probably does work better in Spanish, just from the cadence being more lyrical.

I know not this song, nor Spanish (come on, Canadian here, French is forced upon us) but it does suit Maiko.

Isn't it great where inspiration can come from randomly and without being expected?

This has a melancholy feel to it...Mai's thrilled to be with Zuko, in his arms, his lips on hers, but that little bit on insecurity might be with her always (that's why I hate the way Zuko acts in 'The Promise...I think by then he would have learned and included Mai..they got it wrong).
