This is mass effect to me. All of these characters are perfect and bring the game/world to life. You are a true storyteller and poet.

Funny,shepard such a tease xD

Well. *takes a deep breathe* Been reading through the whole story in just a few hours, forgetting to breathe for a couple of times in the midst of it.
This story... well, I'll start with saying it's the best rendition of paragade Shepard I've ever seen. He may not be the Shepard he was on my playthrough, but damn. He was Shepard, allright. This story hurt at times, but in a good way. It was the kind of hurt you get when the really bad pain is slowly ebbing away. Hurt mingled with relief. I've been so hyped up about this game, reading everything I could find, looking at pics and videos and then I came across this and it just ... felt like a catharsis.

Your writing is something else. I'm not easily impressed, but you did it.

That said, one small thing: Lose the last chapter, mate. The story is perfect as it is without it. The last chapter just.. doesn't fit.

Oh, and thanks for the scene where Shepard pushed Kaidan into the sea. That just felt SO right!

This was an amazing story... great job! I wish I could write like you. Was that the case, I wouldn't stop reading myself :) Seriously, strong characters. I love this Shepard... Trinidad's a female name though, guess it doesn't matter. Thank you for sharing the love ;)

This was lovely. I just came across it and finished it all in one sitting. I got no work done today, seriously. I'm very much looking forward to your additions. I got a very Ender's Game/Shadow vibe in Mass Effect clothing for Shepard's younger years. Was Ender a template for him? It was well done. I also had an image of Shepard that looked a lot like Steve Cortez. Probably the only thing you left out that I'd like to see is some interactions with Vega and Cortez. I imagine the bromance with the lot of them would be almost as epic as Garrus. Great work! Looking forward to more. And congrats on school!

I'm glad you didn't go tragic for the ending, I don't think I could take that again :( I really love this and I think you have gotten even better at writing if that is even possible. I can visualize everything happening. I love that they got married and had a baby as well 3 thank you so much for writing this!

Oh my god... i am speechless. I almost didn't read this story, but as soon as I started reading I was hooked. I had to work yesterday and I was fuming the whole time because all I wanted to do was read your story. I finished reading around 2 in the morning. Oh. My. God. You are so gifted with words. You've made another world. So much depth and creativity! I love how everyone was portrayed. It was perfect. So perfect, I felt like I cheated you for reading this for free. Cos holy hell. So you are learning the way of the comic? That's awesome since you're already such an awesome writer. I hope some day I can buy a graphic novel of yours off the shelf :D

I would personally love to see more of this! So much time and effort has gone into this and it would be a massive shame to see it not have closure! :)

That's weird, I would have sworn I reviewed the final chapters... perhaps either my memory or the ff.n is playig tricks on me. Anyway. By all means I would love to see this story finished - it's great, in-depth characterisation of a very unique Shepard, and very human one, not just a badass machine-like supersoldier. I believe major rewrites to include more team members are not necessary - you have kept the story focused on the important moments and you don't need to make it an all-ecompassing novel to achieve the goal of illustrating Shepard's development as well as his relationship with Kaidan. - But, do as you feel that you should do, if you think you need to add chapters first, do so, and I'll be happy to read them - it's your story, and I'm grateful to be allowed to share it.

I would like to see an end to this story, not a rewrite.
I know, there is this urge to rewrite and change things but I think it is great to see the development of writing and character definition coming into focus. It shows the growth you, as the author went through.
Personally, I would love an epilogue chapter that skipped like 20 years, showing them older and happy, reminiscing about how the came together "Remember when we basically couldn't talk to each other?" "We were such idiots." "The worst!"

And then write a new story.
