you know what fucked with me the most is that Arthur saying he hates magic when they have those convo's is essentially telling Merlin to hate himself that he's evil and whatever it really bothered me more than anything. if they had a episode with another warlock and he understood that some are born with it. it would have built his character a bit more.

This is great. The only problem I have is Aithusa not responding to Merlin's call. One thing I understand about Dragonlord powers is that, no matter what, dragons are bound to obey Dragonlords. It doesn't matter where their loyalties lie. Even though Kilgharrah was bent on destroying Camelot, once Merlin used the Dragon Tongue, he couldn't resist obeying him. So, I think Aithusa should have obeyed Merlin's call, even if he is loyal to Morgana. Not only that, Merlin is practically Aithusa's "father" since he hatched him. That bond should be deeper.

nicely done though I think Merlin forgave the knights too easily, I mean they turned on him within a moment as soon as they knew what he was. Dropped him like a bag of horse poop. It would be understandable if they were just following the king's orders, but rough treatment and not even trying to understand it not what a friend does.

I'd expect at least Gwaine to speak up for him. And then Merlin just hugs Gwaine at the end where it is all easy again to be 'friends' as if he didn't now know that without Arthur's approval they would throw him away as less than human.

Oh this was good. The first few chapters MADE ME FREAKING CRY! *BAWLS* ARTHUR YOU COMPLETE DOLLOPHEAD! But it got better, sooo... nah, Arthur will always be a dollophead.

I like this story so far, especially since the characters reacted differently then the other fanfics and more like I expected, even though I thought some of them would be more or less understanding then how this fanfic wrote them to be

Ahh, this is breathtakingly beautiful. I felt that you approached the reveal and it's aftermath in a way that is greatly satisfying. The intensity and pace of the narration is just wonderful.

And I love how you show their thoughts with action rather than words, that just makes it much more powerful.
In many reveal fics, Merlin seems to have a weaker stance, but instead you made these two more like equals (as they should be.), and I'm immensely grateful for it.

I liked the shorter length of this fic. Arthur's reaction was definitely more violent compared to some of the other stories I've read thus far, but at the same time it definitely seems realistic if not moreso. It also doesn't drag out the whole conflict regarding the big reveal, but despite that a resolution is still reached at a good pace. Nice job!

That was beyond epic! The pacing was delicately perfect and precise and your writing style just complimented the story wonderfully. You did an amazing job on this! I think it is absolutely perfect. Well. Done.
