Holy crap, man. I just read this through in one sitting and it was amazing. The characterizations were great, Cas was just spot on, and realizing he'd never seen a movie, I just... I was as surprised as Dean. The build up to that first kiss was incredible and I'm so glad everything worked out for these boys. I loved Cas's speech at the funeral, and his responses to Brokeback Mountain and The Sound of Music were perfect and powerful. This was a great idea. There have certainly been lots of high school AUs done, but there aren't nearly as many with the strong religious thread that you included here. I, honestly, would have loved to have seen more into that, how Cas relates to God now that he's changing his thoughts and no longer going into the priesthood, and how his beliefs and Dean's differ and compromise. But I understand not wanting to go so deep into that, considering this is already over 30k words. The only real criticism I can think of is that it could really use page breaks between scenes in the same chapter. Something as simple as some punctuation, so that the readers can tell the scene is changing. But everything else was fantastic!

I really loved this, but there should have been more of a transition from the kissing to Dean going to his own bed. Like I'm gonna kiss

The Sound of Music is my Mom's favorite movie. I've seen it many, many times since I was little - we actually have it on VCR - and my favorite scene is the puppet show. Really, the puppet show is AWESOME.
