Nice use of repetition throughout this fic. I also agree on how you show the Fenton Ghost Catcher working in this. I really enjoyed the way you caught Danny’s POV, his thought process, his trauma, the drive of his decision and how the scene is described or in many cases how the scene is deliberately not described. All in all this was a dark, chilling piece of writing and I liked it.

So lemme rephrase. It's been a while since I watched Identity Crisis, and I can't remember if Vlad appeared in it or not. Doesn't matter, I suppose. What happened is still clear.
Poor Danny. I wonder if Clockwork would come forth again and try to stop another Dark Danny?
I suppose. Though if this Phantom doesn't merge with Vlad's ghost half, I guess it won't be as bad? Oh man.
This oneshot got to me. I never looked at the ghost catcher that way, but I guess it is a very freaky device if it can split your personality into separate ones. Also makes you realise that the balance between Danny's personalities is what makes him so special.
Makes you realise what would have happened in that episode if he went into the Ghost Catcher with different intents ;)

Yes I like this. Honestly it kinda matches an idea I had for quite sometime. When Danny is split, there is this sort of different outcome that can occur (it matches the idea more that not all ghosts are evil, rather than Dan merely saying human emotions dragged him down[it was a generalization on his part][a ghost's personality has to do with how powerful or malicious they make their own obsession out to be]) The only difference my theory has is that it is at random.

Anding the thought of intent being the cause of the differences was interesting and a cool thought.

Whoa! That was amazingly, terrifyingly, fabulously awesome! The darkness factor really complemented the seemingly 'innocent' Fenton invention...
And now I feel the need to over think some thing in the show, just to come up with something as good as this. Great job.

Take away his loved ones, and the hero breaks apart. The fallen hero splits himself in two, and his rage destroys the world.

I notice my dark humor when stories like this and I can't help but to reread this over a lot because I liked the plot and the ending also the meaning or this could be the coffee thinking.

In my time on this site, I've read quite a few dark DP stories, never in all that time have I come across one that has this kind of quality. It's chilling, really, the way you wrote this. Definitely dark and scary, but beautifully written. Poetic, even.

Goodness...This is beautiful and yet so terrifying. I absoluetly love the repeated line "It all has to do with intent." As the story went on that line just sent shivers down my spine. More so, I adore your descriptions of all the dead (especially since it's such a mystery why they're dead). Jazz's accusing eyes, the drip of Sam and Tucker's blood, Jack bigger in death, Maddie smaller. All the descriptions seem to warped and wrong, but amazing for the powerful effect they have! Wow... I adore Vlad's characterization, his dialogue and description both. The ending was simply beautiful. Love it!
