Okay, there are some things I want to talk about, like for starters Shades. Right now, and in the last version, he's seeming a bit... I dunno, Mary Sueish? I mean come on, who could best Aeris in a fight? At least give the guy some faults. Also, three months, really? Granted, I know that you have a life to live outside of fanfiction writing, but really, three months and barely even two thousand words? It just doesn't seem right to me.

However, I do like some things. As much as I said that no one could beat Aeris in a fight, I actually like that SOMEONE beat Aeris in a fight. Not to show the character's strength, no, I'm talking about how it'll effect her. She has barely ever lost at anything, the revenge plot will probably be the most thought of thing in her mind. All the while it makes the relationship that Shades and Aeris have later on all the more funny considering. Also, in the last story, at some points, Leo just seemed kind of there as an extra. Now it seems that he's starting to have more lines.

Anyway, I have to say, better than the original, but can still be improved.

Good chapter, but I have to ask...

First: Will XanderXAeris happen again and make Leo angst hardcore?

and Second: Will the wait for chapter 3 be as long? Ciz I sure hope not!

This is a really great story and I would likr to see how,it ends.

After reading the original version, I can already tell that remaking this was a good idea. The first chapter is very strong. Has good amounts of detail and good dialogue. Keep it up!

One piece of advise; don't make Xander such a mary-sue this time. I know you're probably sick of people telling you that thats what he was, but...y'know. Also try to keep him more real, meaning take out the supernatural thing he had with Death. That might make people warm up to him more.

Welcome back Matthias777! I have to say that it's good to see you on the site again. You have done us all proud by re-doing this story. I'm much more interested in this story than before, and even though we all know what will happen, we'll still read it and still gasp when stuff happens.

After reading the original chapter and comparing it to this one, I'll have to say that this one catches my interest more, and you really did change things up compared to the original. Anyways, I'm liking this so far, and I'll be anticipating your next chapter.
