Lmao I just said this in my review a few chapters back, thanks! My biggest pet peeve atm.

Been reading a few SYOT's recently and while I get it (no one wants to write a plain old boring tribute), it's really bothering me that every SYOT has 3 ppl who volunteer for their sibling, 5 Victor's kids, 7 with a BIG secret that will get their family in trouble if Panem ever finds out, 8 sets of twins, 11 who have siblings or friends or whatever who were Reaped and died and they want to avenge their death, and 20 who are ridiculously skilled with a weapon they have no business knowing anything about. The WHOLE point of the Games is that it's not fair, that you don't have to be special or interesting to be Reaped (or to win), and these CHILDREN deserve to live not because they are interesting, but because they don't deserve to die.

It’s so annoying when authors spell their names wrong. Ruins the fic for me.

Except Haymitch and Effie DO get together. I love this story. It's a riot, and I know it's old and came out before that was canon, but they DO get together (at least in the movies).
