I hope you don't mind constructive criticism because I can't hold back this bit anymore...

While I like this story I have to admit that I think you are overusing flashbacks to tell it a bit. Flashbacks CAN be an effective story-telling technique but use any technique too much and it'll start to feel repetitive. Plus, using flashbacks to reveal important moments kind of kills the tension of those scenes as the characters are often relaxing after the fact so we know that nothing TOO terrible has taken place. Last chapter with Mahado's mission was a good example: the lead in to the flashback told us Mahado was fine and that nothing went awry (and in fact went "too easy") so the whole flashback scene of them infiltrating lost any tension since we knew in advance everything would work out. And then there was THIS chapter; I personally would have MUCH rather have read the game scene, short at it was, in "real time" than hear about its results (with Atem revealing Yugi had said yes to Seth) before going to read the details of it in flashback. You'd build up the tension of that game so beautifully that I couldn't help but be a little disappointed when, going to the next chapter, it was already over and things were moving forward.

Even if you don't want to write out a whole scene and only want to show parts of that scene, there are other ways you can do so like making use of line breaks and non-flashback time skips instead.

Anyway, that's my bit of CC for you. I'm looking forward to seeing how things go from here in the story. And on that note...time to head back to reading.

Thank you for this lovely chapter. I love the deepening friendship of Mana and Yugi, along with the self-reflection that Atem has here. The reunion between Ryou and Yugi was so sweet, just how much that they had to go through to get there just makes their reunion so rewarding. Hope you have a nice day.
