Brilliant work! I, too, recognized the passage from Acts. The song Peter and Edmund sing it's beautiful! My heart was thorn from seeing (or reading?) them suffer, but I was so glad of the outcome! And the live they have for each other is just warming. They are both willing to put the other one first, and that's the most pure love we humans can have.

I laughed, I cried, and laugh again, this time out of joy. Keep up the good work!

This had such a biblical feel at the end. Very reminicent of how St Peter escaped the Romans - except this Peter and Edmund stayed and were let out.

You wrote this SOOOOO beautifully! I was taken in right away and couldn't stop reading. So sad it ended, even though Iooove the ending. What? A good story like yours is hard to find. I never want it to end, when I find it.

This is beautiful! If I could favorite this a thousand times I would. (I sound a bit like a Calormene right now, don't I?) I didn't get the Paul and Silas reference until they started singing, and then I GOT it and was internally just rejoicing, really, because the whole thing was so well done. The conversion of Emre, joy in the midst of sorrow and pain - all of it was absolutely perfect. You've been blessed with a great gift of writing.
