I love this story I always re-read stories every now and then and this is one that I come back to. When ever I read the part about Lumiere' s dream I always think of Les Miserable, but it is a good thing because it takes me to a real place and makes it so much more real when the two are combined I have to put on Les Miserable music when i read that part and I cry. You alos capture Lumiere and Babette in amazing way.

heartwarming and romantic. It makes me think of Les Mis or a Dickens story with the children and the homeless man but in a Disney fairy tale setting. Very creative, I felt it should have gone longer.

I really want to see where the rest of this story is going. It seems as though you have a lot of different plot threads that could go off in a lot of different directions, so I'm eager to read the next chapters if they happen to flourish.

A fantastic fic so far. Enjoying every word of it. There are points that I actually end up forgetting that I'm reading a Beauty and the Beast fic, which I think is the greatest compliment someone can pay.

Oho, so the plot thickens I see. This story is continuing very well, and I couldn't help but fall in love with the entire section about the orphans. Perhaps I'm a bit of a softie, but there was certainly more than a couple of "awwww" moments in there.

Lumiere is cute as all get out, as is to be expected. The ending certainly piques my interest for what is going to happen next. Will have to dive into that sometime soon. :)

I like the turn this is taking! Most post-spell BATB fics just feature Belle and Adam's relationship. I like the fact that, in addition to focusing on Lumiere and Babette, you're also bringing in realistic political issues, like the uncle's eagerness to tax the region and possible consequences if the prince doesn't do so. Very intriguing!

Well, you have certainly caught my attention already. This is a really well done story with some great descriptions for a Disney fic. I'm thinking that the entire concept of these characters having been so used to living within the castle that they had been sheltered from the cruelty of the outside world has a lot of potential. In fact, as soon as I'm done reading through this story I'm probably going to hop onboard of the other one mentioned in the opening ("The New Order in the Castle").

I think it is tricky to pull off Disney stories, so I'm hoping that this manages to keep up on the quality.

I REALLY like this! The descriptions are wonderful, the backstories are believable, and the scene of Lumiere helping the child is just too heartwarming. Very eager to see where this goes!

Nice twist at the end. I wonder what Prince Maximillien wants with Lumiere. He and Babbette are always fun to read and I hope those kids end up okay by the end
