Reviews for For You, I Will
manypies chapter 1 . 3/29
hot diggity damn! This might be one of the best one shots ive ever read, the premise so original (and one that i kind of considered myself, because lets be honest, the wolves basically roofie themselves when they imprint, they essentially become house elves for their imprint if you interpret it more literally). I also loved the build up you wrote and the descent into their depravity, it was believable. Obviously a part of me is like noooo poor Embry my sweet baby, but for the purpose of this story and exploration it was perfect. Honestly this was just a brilliant piece of writing and study into the interpretations of imprinting. I know you wrote this literally nine years ago so i don't even know if you'll ever read this, but since ive been going through a twilight renaissance phase I thought i'd leave this review.
EdwardsMate4ever chapter 1 . 11/28/2019
So dark and disturbing. You've made me consider imprinting in a new light, which is saying something because I already thought it was terribly creepy. The cannibalism and Melanie masturbating to it was so extreme. It disturbed me, but I admire your imagination and your ability to write this dark subject matter in such an engaging and intriguing way. Kudos.
benenator chapter 1 . 5/6/2019
Oh dog what did I just read
Guest chapter 1 . 7/21/2018
The logical conclusion of males becoming absolutely suicidally devoted to females, is female victimisation? What?

Literally being permanently enslaved to a complete stranger's whims, forcibly severing all other ties and priorities and free will? How is that not victimising to the males?

Yes, it's pretty weird to have a strange man fall head over heels in love with you on sight and do their absolute best to make you happy and safe, while absolutely following your whims. But the actual 'being mind-raped to be forever more imprinted on some random' is pretty horrific, y'know. Even without the imprinted person taking advantage, the entire thing victimises the imprinter for the rest of their life.

Imprinting enslaves the shifter, typically male. Potential Fridge horror for the one receiving the devotion sure, but there's nothing subtle about what it does to the one imprinting on them.
Storygirl000 chapter 1 . 6/16/2018
...holy shit.

Holy fucking shit.
ZFighter18 chapter 1 . 8/24/2017
Nigga... fuck that. That was dark as fuck.

I'm gonna need some bleach to wash out my eyeballs after reading that. God-Fucking-Damn.
Guess chapter 1 . 8/19/2017
Psychological thriller. I've got chills just thinking about it. Very well written, showing what would happen if an imprint was less stable than the average person.
cassielang chapter 1 . 4/11/2017
Extremely well written and creepy as fuck. Thank God this kind of fiction doesn't give me any kind of problems after reading it (no triggers, no nightmares, etc) or I'm sure I'd be having all of them right now.

Not saving as a favorite because there are no trigger warnings but this is probably the best anti-fan/spitefic I've ever read.
Duesal Bladesinger chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
What a brilliant portrayal of the horrors of imprinting. I'm so relieved that there are people out there not fooled by Meyer's romanticism of the idea. 10/10
Anon chapter 1 . 12/19/2016
This is fascinating. Looking at imprinting in this light, what would happen if you imprinted on someone gay? Would your love be unrequited, or would your gender shift to match their interest?
Amanthya chapter 1 . 7/24/2016
P.S. Good point about Rensemee, and the theft of blood for her, and the lack of questioning her defenders - I highly doubt *they're* vegetarians.
Amanthya chapter 1 . 7/24/2016
I always thought imprinting had the potential - the inevitable conclusion - of being malicious. Maybe in small, manipulative ways, like a cunning wife might use to out-maneuver her husband in an argument because she really thinks she's right and deserves to get her way. Or maybe in big ways...like this.

I'm surprised how infrequently people follow this to its natural conclusion. There should be dozens of fics like this, and ones about the grooming of Claire and Renesmee. (After all, if the imprinter is controlled so much by the imprintee's feelings, then the unavoidable crushes the pre/teen girls develop on their handsome older "friends" will force early romantic and/or sexual action.)

So: disturbing as h*ll, but masterfully written.
Smiling Seshat chapter 1 . 1/25/2016
Nice to see this cliché in reverse.
Morgan chapter 1 . 1/16/2016
Oh Jesus Mary and Joseph this is one of the most horrific fics I have read up to date. And I know this is a cliché but like a railroad crash, I could not take my eyes away from looking at it.
Ariana Peverell chapter 1 . 1/14/2016
sweet baby Jesus, this was creepy, dark, and portrayed the dangers of imprinting very nicely.
