So it's been years since Terra Nova was cancelled and years since I fell in love with Maddy and Mark's pairing. Sometimes, I come back to this tag just to read stories about the two again.
And somehow, I always find this story, and I always forget how incredible and true it is. I'm not sure if you'll see this, if you're still active on this account, but I wanted you to know.

I can only imagine how hard it would be for Maddy to know that Mark was potentially in danger. And the guilt that comes from not saying I love you before he left.

Very sweet and very real! Your fic was totally believable-Maddy's worry turning into anger and then into depression and remorse, Mark begging her forgiveness but ultimately knowing his duty comes first, Elisabeth offering motherly advice because she's lived through it before. And the way you captured the dynamic of a soldier leaving his beloved was so real. I could see a soldier's wife behaving the same way out of worry and the ever-present fear that he may not come back. Your fic was beautifully written.

I loved the argument because it's probably something they would have (hopefully) in the series.

Both Josh and Jim staying out of her way was funny and Zoe giving Maddy hugs to cheer up her was so cute.

The talk between Mother and Daughter was brilliant, I love how both of them can now relate to each other even more and Elisabeth confessing that she was glad that Jim had gotten a safer job at the beginning only to become worried when he became a cop again.

Mark showing up at the end just snet me further into a puddle of goo and I love that they made up and that Mark arrived at the Shannon's house the moment he got back to base.
