Once more unto the breach, dear friends! It is time once again to spread the good news!
Far from being an oxymoron, ShadAmy is the only thing that's realistically keeping Amy alive in the end. Here's why.
I believe that the reason why Sonic always runs away from Amy Rose is *not* because he doesn't realize what he could have with her; but instead, it's because he already has something better with Tails. The reason that Sonic has never told anyone else about his relationship with Tails is because he's afraid of what Amy will do once she finds out about it. He knows that Amy will eventually find out about it, sure, but he's hoping that by the time that she does, she'll have finally got a clue about the way that Shadow feels about her, (see the video game: Shadow the Hedgehog for more information about that), so that when she does find out about it, instead of going off the deep end and either trying to kill Tails or *actually killing herself*, she'll have a person that she can go to and vent about what she just learned. So she doesn't kill herself. Sonic's hoping that Shadow will see his strategy and realize why he had led Amy on for so long, and that Shadow will put aside his dislike of Sonic and get Amy to think the situation over and realize that, while what Sonic did might have hurt, it was for the best, because if he had just came out and told her about it when she didn't have another reason to live, than she would have been lost. Sure, Shadow will actually use this to get Amy to hate Sonic, in order to secure Amy's heart for himself, but Sonic's middle name should be naïve, after all. And that is ShadAmy is the only thing that's realistically keeping Amy alive in the end. She can never escape her beautiful destiny. She can only postpone it. (Sorry, I was listening to the end of Soul Reaver 2 when I wrote that last bit.)

Aw... knowing Shadow, I would've thought that his planned date would've been HORRIFYING! Like, horror movies, followed by a trip to the graveyard to visit Maria's grave, and ending with Sonic tied up in his basement!

This is amazing! I haven't read the last chapter but I'm about to. I love love love this! I think one of my favorite things you wrote was:
"Which was so unlike her – wherever she went, she brought hope, bright as a morning sky in winter darkness. Because she was strong, and so was the blue hedgehog who would inevitably come to her side, as if he was the one chasing her."
That was beautiful. I love when people make Amy a strong and amazing character. You've done it perfectly! Idk why this isn't getting like a 100 comments! I love it!

Amazing story! Very well written, you got the characters down so well it made the whole thing so realistic, and you suprised me throughout the story so much I had no idea what would happen next. I love that you included details to Amy's feelings of guilt and confusion, something a lot of shadamy fanfics often leave out. I love that you explained exactly how a relationship with Amy and Shadow would indeed work. I love everything about this story! Good job, I look forward to reading more of your work.

Wow, amazing story! I really enjoyed reading through it. It had a very un-typical plot for a ShadAmy story. They were both in character, I could easily imagine a majority of their dialogue in cannon Sonic game. I really liked the fact that you dived into the thoughts and emotions of both Shadow and Amy and I also loved the oxymoron theme apparent your story, just great.

Yes. I finally found it. I swear finding all the stories that made me want to be a writer is so hard. Thank you for writing this :) It really was one of the first stories I read and I must say, setting such a high expectance of the site...which quickly turned the other way...so yeah, but regardless, this is a rare gem. This story was kinda cute... And funny, the ending of Chapter 3 made me laugh. At first, I couldn't help the inevitable smirk, but then I was straight out laughing. I kinda have a strange sense of humor... I don't know.

One of the few well-written Shadow/Amy fics on this site, your plot was common but the way you went about their date exceeded my expectations of how I expected this story to turn out. It's the first chapter and I am already hooked on reading the next two. I absolutely love how you kept both characters within their true personalities, I was worried at first that Shadow would be OC like I've seen in other stories - but this was well done, definitely one of my favorite stories to this pairing. Your story is actually the first I've ever read to do the pairing justice, so this will be my standard for the next great Shadow/Amy story I find next! Hope to read more works from you. :)
