I like this, but when I get to the last line, I'm wondering what Spock believes about the other Vulcans.

Does he think that they exhibit calm because they have no feelings? (This would run contrary to what Sarek told Young Spock after his altercation at school.)

Or, does he know that they have deep feelings, but their exterior calm prompts Spock to imagine a world where they don't, and this is what causes him to make his observation about living in a world of feeling versus no feeling after contrasting the two possibilities?

The rest of it was really cool. I like reading about his reaction to different aspects of life aboard the Big E and interacting with its crew. Now I'm going to click on your name and read your other "Star Trek: 2009" works. :-)
