Wow, I really loved this. I DIED laughing at the woodworm part, I just watched that episode so all the referencing to those particular scenes was even better than it would have been if I had not seen it recently. I love how you captured Merlin's guilt and slight self-hatred, it was perfect, and Gwaine's drunk confession was equal parts hilarious and sweet because you can tell he ment it. I agree with you about the knights behavior, it was very odd in this episode, very much unlike them, even Sir Leon, who is actually of noble blood and has every right to his knighthood, was acting like a "Royal Ass" as Merlin would say.
