That was so beautiful. I think my favorite part was Merlin asking Arthur to speak against his lips again so he could feel the words. Would love to see a sequel. See if Merlin gets his hearing back or how he deals with his loss in everyday life with Arthur helping him. Great fic. Loved the premise.

This is such a beautiful story... too beautiful! And it's the kind and caring and sweet and loving Arthur that I've always hope to see with Merlin, he was too kind to him that it broke my heart to see him taking care of Merlin and be there for him for every seconds Merlin needs him. And crying/hurt!Merlin is always my favorite! So much in love with this fic! 3

I loved how this tragedy brought the boys together. the climax/ending of this story was so beautiful. Merlin's panic felt so real, and I loved how you portrayed Arthur as lavishing so much care on him. let's face it, Arthur might act all cold and prattish towards Merlin most of the time, but underneath it all there's an undercurrent of warmth, teasing, and love... and we all know Arthur pretends he doesn't care because he cares too much. you did a beautiful job of showing that here.

I loved when Merlin asks Arthur to keep doing what he's doing when they're finally in bed together... I assume he was feeling the vibrations of Arthur's moaning, and it was the closest he could get to sound and that's why he was so worked up about it? either way, that was a beautiful detail.

also, I love how beautiful they go about this. their lovemaking is just an extension of their love for each other... as it should be. it feels very natural, and in this case very beautiful. it was heartwrenching when Merlin wanted to know what Arthur was saying to him but couldn't, and Arthur just comforting him.

this deserves so much more reviews. this was absolutely brilliant and heartbreaking. i loved how you wrote this... how you expressed the grief that comes with losing such an integral part of you- your sense of hearing. how tragic it is to have known someone's voice and not be able to hear it nor the words of love that they speak. i love arthur here... how he's there for merlin... helping him deal with the pain and reminding him that he isn't useless and that he is loved. this is one of the best merlin fanfics i've read in a while and when i was looking for an angsty fic... this was exactly what i wanted. kudos

This was so well written! But the bittersweet might just kill me! I loved reading this story, though! Great job :)
