Sar-Bear751 chapter 4 . 7/29 I Don't really like the fact chell can talk. |
SaltyApple chapter 15 . 7/28 I know it's been years upon years since this fic concluded, but I revisited it and had to review, haha. Gosh, I try not to set my standards too high, but I don't think I could ever feel as satisfied and hooked on a story again after reading this one- I'm not sure much else can compare. I'm not exaggerating when I call this my all time favourite story. Beautifully written, beautiful characterisation, and a stunning, captivating journey through and through. There's always a noticeable, physical elation I feel when I read this fic. Glad I was able to experience this rollercoaster. You have a real skill. :) |
Wheatley chapter 2 . 7/24 Although I love this. Could we not have swears? |
Wheatley chapter 1 . 7/24 This is amazing! I am hoping for the next chapter! |
Etta Daring chapter 15 . 7/24 FANTASTIC! How had I never read this? |
Nathan L chapter 4 . 7/23 I don't know how you captured the essence of Portal so perfectly, but somehow you did, and it's amazing to see! Every word out of Wheatley's mouth feels absolutely accurate, so much so that I can hear his voice in my head reading your lines as if they were a part of the game itself. You've shown great restraint with Chell, and the little bit that you did have her say and do was masterfully handled too. There were several parts that made me laugh out loud long and hard, especially the part about the creature that goes YAAARRRKK needing to go sod off! I wondered as I read what animal you must have been thinking of when you wrote that. A unicron, perhaps? All that to say, well done. Thanks for writing this story! |
Guest chapter 10 . 7/23 Oh my gosh, his shortened user identity is four zeroes and a four. 404. Beautiful. |
ann25099 chapter 15 . 7/7 I don't even know what to say except that this is absolutely amazing, and I'm glad I returned to this after putting it off for so long (you know how it goesyou put it down to check out a notification, and then you forget about it for months). Seriously, thank you so much for writing this, reading this has been an amazing experience. Thank you 3 |
Deadied chapter 15 . 7/2 Bravo! This story is so well written that it feels like I'm watching portal 3. Thank you for making this. |

CelestialCake chapter 15 . 5/31 Ohh, there is so much I love about this story. I've read it before but I finally decided to leave a review: First, you were able to portray Wheatley and Chell excellently. Even their faults were interesting to read about! Not only that, but all the characters from Ellie to Garret were also so endearing. There were also so many creative details included, from why Chell never spoke to Wheatley's name or plot points that were done with such ... finesse! From Wheatley's hard-light body and how he got into it to foxglove to so much more! Speaking of that, the plot was just great. There were slow moments when we were able to connect more to the characters and see their relationship grow or just moments that were funny, and then there were moments that were intense - either emotionally, action, or plot-wise. I loved how you showed Wheatley's redemption wasn't "final". Even after he was "redeemed" he still messed up and for a moment he was selfish, it really showed being redeemed isn't an end goal it's more of a constant journey. Plus, reading about his reaction to learning about his "humanity" was so interesting (and also heart-wrenching). And there is so much more that I loved about this story. You may never read this but thank you so much for this story, it was so well-written and it holds a special place in my heart and the hearts of many others. I also know it inspired many people - including myself - to start writing. Kudos to you, this was an amazing read! |
