i always thought simon couldnt see properly because Alvin wraped his ambillical chord around simons neck making his eye contact cut off lol proberbly impossible to do though

Very nice, I always wondered how Simon needed glasses but could speak human speech. Just rember that when you talk about animals (for example: chipmunks) that the words are paws and cur, even if it's cartoon version you could at least add fur and a tail to them.

Very good story, it makes perfect sense. Too bad what happened to Simon, but now he can talk, he's smart, and he can see! Quite nice, quite nice. I also liked your attention to detail; in the movie they put some things in to show his vision issues, and your description of his sight lines up just right. One thing I noticed in the movie: when their tree was being cut down, Simon grabbed the trunk and looked around while he asked what was wrong, but his eyes never focused (which you caught). They were murky (you also got that), and it was as if he wasn't actually seeing but didn't expect to either, like he was blind. And here's a huge question I have that I'm pretty sure you don't have the answer to, but I want to know if anyone else wonders this: why does a decorative Santa doll have prescription glasses? Weird, I know, but it seriously makes no sense to me. Okay, now that I've talked (reviewed?) your ear off, I shall say this. Thank you for this lovely story abou Simon (my favorite)! Keep writing!
