I haven't seen the latest anime (the one more based on the manga), but I have seen the earlier, and I have definitely followed the manga. I'd say you captured Hohenheim very well here, and given what happened to him, I'd say it's very in character for him to feel and behave in that manner.

I think they do. This is a great fic, exploring Hohenheim's response to fatherhood which wasn't explored to much great depth. I haven't read the manga, but I have seen both anime's and this seems in concordance with the second one.
