Poor Yuusei. He had it too easy, really. No truly huge defeats, nothing to make him re-think himself. So when everything fell...well, the fic says it best.

This was great! I was a little confused as to whether Z-ONE concluded he was once Yusei and no longer him or if he was someone trying to be Yusei. I like how you ended it with Z-ONE meeting up with Yusei.

Brilliant. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Z-ONE's actions in the past could be part of a temporal paradox that caused the very future he came from. Anyway brilliant story. It's an excellent way to explain that Z-ONE was Yusei and still make it canon to the show if you ignore the fact that Z-ONE came from 200 years in the future. You even managed to explain the metal implant on Z-ONE's head. Very clever.
