While I never cared about Thomas The Tank Engine, I must say that this fanfiction is so sad, yet so beautiful and amazing. I really felt bad for poor Smudger.

I'm going to add this story to my favorites.

Since I assume engines have souls Smudger was never really sent to hevan or something, forever trapped in regret and agony, being tortured by his mistakes. Jesus, I feel awful for him! I hope he does get rescued one day. . .maybe on accident or on purpose. It's been MANY years now and I prey at least he's put out of his misery. . .

What a brilliant tale!

Not usually a Thomas fan to be honest but i decided what the hell and read one or two maybe three. Found this one cried my eyes out and really wanting you to continue this maybe hopefully so this doesn't haunt my dreams and subconscious during school. Really liked the outlook on Smudger though along with Duke "now he'll share your hell" perfect. Except Duke didn't stay stuck forever...saddening.

I was in tears at the end of this story. Loved it.

Maybe you'd do a sequel, perhaps? What happened to Smudger after closure of Mid Sodor; maybe he was saved, and would be wanting revenge, maybe an explanation to why Duke hadn't appeared since season four. Or was it seven?

Anyway, it could actually work, don't ya think?
