Scary SEAL is awesome and I definitely could see someone like Hoffman trying to protect his activities by taking out the threat. Overall I enjoyed this story a lot.

I loved this story. It is so sad but I love to see my favorite characters hurt but only if there is the comfort factor involved as well. I loved Danny and Steve's pov in this story seemed very in character. All around great story. Thanks for sharing! :)

Fantastic story! Loved the attention to detail.

Great fic! Everyone was so in character, and I loved the idea of Steve inadvertently (and sometimes deliberately) scaring the crap out of everyone in his military gear.

Good episode extension story. I could never figure out why Danny didn't take the tapes directly to the DA or whoever. Stan really didn't do anything wrong. And essentially if Danny doesn't turn the Housing Commissioner in, he's actually covering up a felony.

TPTB probably left it open ended like that just so they could revisit the situation. Good story!

Nothing I like better on the weekend than a nice long story. Especially when it's a Danny whump.

You really highlight the protective instincts. I love Danny running to protect his family and Stan covering the girls. And Danny not wanting Grace to see him bleeding, while Stan is desperately trying to stop that bleeding.

Then Steve's all protective, attacking Stan - in front of Grace! Good for Chin. Chin really shines in this story. He'll keep Steve out of trouble even if he has to taser him!

Grace is smarter and knows more than the adults realize. Love the way she understood and forgave Steve. Steve can be scary, but Grace isn't scared of him.

Chin again, dealing with the governor, crossing the T's and dotting the I's to make sure the arrest of Hoffman holds up. I don't think he minded too much that the shooting suspect ended up dead, however.

"At least I didn't kill him." "Danny would be so proud of you."

And when Danny wakes up, he's more worried about others than himself.

Nice scene between him and Stan.

Great story overall.
