And a little fact about Koreas - Soviet forces gone through whole Korean Peninsula, forcing all Japanese forces in Korea to surrender, but then was ordered to leave southern part of Korea and into the northern part, because Soviet officials has already made agreement with the US officials, that southern part of Korea should be occupied by United States forces...

This is simply beautiful. Just, beautiful. You've written everyone so beautifully and accurately, especially for America and Russia. Well done, this is one of the best fanfictions I've ever read. (I do believe that the war helped China in some way, China was suffering from quite a lot of problems even before WWII, and without the Allies he might have lost to Japan) Again, well done :)

"tolerates America." Sorry, I wrote my review late at night

I think this is my favourite of your stories. The characterisations are brilliant and it wasn't boring, don't worry. The dialogue between America and Russia was so well-written, and as they slowly became less civil about their intentions, I felt like I was at a tennis match, looking from one to the other for their replies. I particularly love the way you wrote Russia. I was giggling nervously almost every time he opened his mouth, and oh, I feel so sorry for Prussia and Lithuania. I've always felt those two had a tough time while they were under his rule.

The way you got into the characters' heads and explained their thought processes was great, especially England's lack of care for Germany and China's struggle to pick a side. The latter in particular is now part of my headcanon, because I always forget those two are brothers and China surely has some residual affection for Japan. In fact, America's whole reasoning for taking Japan is headcanon now. I'd always wondered how the two characters seem to get along when they did such things to each other during the war. Your theory makes sense.

I also appreciate the subtlety in America and Japan's relationship- the way Japan doesn't seem so invested in the friendship and apparently only tolerates Japan, and America's inability to realise that his good intentions sound as expansionist as Russia.

That one 'hetalian' comment was wrong. You did a good job of explaining the real history, but I don't think it was worth the effort.

'Free Lithuania!' sentiment was considered a cliche for years in the US. Being fond of Russia didn't mean the US wasn't aware that Russia held countries captive. Japan's feelings were very mixed toward the US-ironically, the man who had to deliver the Pearl Harbor threat was VERY fond of the US. Up to 1938, Americans followed the exploits of Japanese nationalist detective hero, Mr. Moto. If you ever read those old detective stories, you'd find Mr. Moto stereotypically Japanese, quiet and unassuming. He even owns a beloved cat! XD Mr. Moto typically befriended an American fellow who is luckless in love.

England was pretty angry at Japan after the war...The UK and Russia wanted the Emperor executed, but the US said no. (The emperor did ask the sins of his country be all on him too!)

Anyway, glad to read this!

There were some grammatical errors ("coming to close," "inside his own boarders," "neverwanted," "obvious jealously," "verystrange," "what rational he uses," the constant misspelling of "bowl" as "bowel," "guilty conscious," "England's allay," etc.), but they weren't too distracting. The characterization of each country was fascinatingly detailed, and while Russia was a bit one-dimensional, your story wasn't really about him, so it didn't matter. The question at the ending was appropriately thought-provoking, and I'm glad that you kept the entire story within the context of the meeting. A short scene outside of it would have felt tacked-on.

Phwoo! So long, but I absolutely adored it! I love these type of Hetalia fics and you did an absolutely wonderful job with the writing and the human element as well! I think that's part of what attracts me to Hetalia in general.

"'Friends'?" he asked with amusement. "If you drop atomic bombs on your friends, I can only imagine what you do to your enemies."

America slammed his hands on the table in renewed wrath! "You wanna find out what I do to my enemies?" he challenged.

I love this little part in the conversation.

I also love this story as a whole. It's very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really like this story. I'm a big history fan but I'll admit I still have a lot to learn. I've always been interested in the cold war and I really liked how this argument just boiled under the surface, great lead up to the decades to come.

I also liked how you wrote America. Everything sounds just like something my country would do, like completely ignoring a meeting until something concerning us pops up. Two of my favorite "American" moments was after England stuffed the sandwich in America's mouth and he made sure to still eat it and talk with his mouth full... so american! And the fact that he was going to help Japan "whether he wants it or not"... so american. Just like us to not waste food and force our "help" on ppl.

Anyway, great fic. It really got me riled up. I was getting angered by Russia's blase responses too... so American we need to get strong reactions out if ppl!

I loved hanging out in America's head and following his thoughts in this story, he's brave and caring and immature. Somehow it makes me just want to hug him (along with poor lonely Japan, and poor back-stabbed China, and poor communist Lithuania). But not Mother Russia, because he is extremely creepy and you did an epic job with that.

(And I learned, yay)

If I were more eloquent I'd leave a better review... but this is going on the favorites list, just so you know.
