...and after all these years, there still don't seem to be many Kirby Wii stories out there. -sigh- I like-nay, love this one though! Your writing style...it's awesome. And yeah, I don't see how MK got to be so popular; most people hate the sidekicks. No use questioning it; just putting up with it (even though I shouldn't say such things, considering he's one of my favorite characters, but I can't help but observe). Speaking of Meta Knight, I liked how you made him a jerk. It actually sounded way more in character for him, considering his sarcasm and weird humor. For not liking him that much, you did a much better job at it than...a percentage of the archive so high I will not list it for fear that people will hate me for stating it.

I'm not disappointed with the humor in this-I was laughing several times throughout it. HAL...they actually put their name on the ninja-subgame sign in Mag-I mean, Hal's ship. And how Dedede and Meta Knight keep stirring up trouble...perhaps they should stir up some mix of a high-sugar dessert instead, but Kirby would probably want some and then chaos would be reborn. I loved everything that was even minutely funny, which was a minimum of 50% of the sentences. I guess that saying is true: it's hard to tell what's funny when it's your own writing.

I've heard of this game being called 'Kirby's Adventure Wii', but I didn't know it was the European version's name...now I know, and thus, do not look ignorant. When I first came across this fanfic it was late and I did not have time to review it. As of now my head is throbbing away with a headache but if I keep getting held up by such things you will have updated again before I can review the first chapter. So here I am, albeit with a headache, to deliver a review.

The first thing that made me happy about this fanfic is that once again it's a non-anime based fanfic and that it also isn't Metaknight centric. He's included but not as the main character of which I like (I like Metaknight as a character but I feel he gets far too much attention in the Kirby fanfics on this site). This is also another fanfic written by you and as your previous one-shot was so good I expect the same level of writing to carry onto this one...and it certainly does. It's finely detailed with long, beautifully written descriptions that make the story come to life. The characterisations are fitting, the pacing works wonders for your writing style of balanced dialogue and character thoughts, and it's funny. As a comedy fanfic that is naturally an essential part to it and you've managed it, this is a funny fanfic. The comedy is different to most comedy fanfics, notably because it’s not crack, but also because it's woven slowly in the details. The humour takes time to work its magic and feels very British in nature (It does help that you're from the United Kingdom). Being British myself I naturally loved the humour.

A key problem to all well written fanfics is that they are notoriously hard to criticise but as it’s essential to a review it is what I will accomplish right here. A minor one but the opening sentence is rather weak. It does get expanded in the following paragraph but ‘It was a beautiful day in Dreamland’ is far from an engaging introduction. Next, mostly in the opening few paragraphs you added a lot of extra details within brackets, and while there isn’t anything wrong with that I did note that you used quite a lot in the beginning. With so many additional details you might as well of have them as part of the sentences, or as new sentences, rather than contained within brackets. My final criticism is your few referrals to your previous fanfic, which while I enjoyed, will confuse readers who have not read your previous fanfic. Thus it is important to state the fact that references to your previous fanfic was made in the story, within your author notes. It’s a slight detail but a helpful one.

Now to make some quick comments on your author notes first of which, don’t be disappointed in the humour, it was great. Next, the reason there hasn’t been any Kirby: Return to Dreamland (I also prefer the name) is because the game has not come out yet...anywhere, also isn’t it annoying how it’s being released in October but those of us who live in the UK and Europe don’t receive the game till December. As for the characterisation of Metaknight, it’s different to what I picture him as but this is a comedy so he would be made a little more humorous. Admittedly I’m one of the few people who characterise him as a villain (in the same way King Dedede is considered a villain) and often question why people present him as a good guy when he’s done just as much to credit him as a villain as King Dedede has. As for the last comment, I was wondering why you started writing this story before the game has been released and now it makes sense.

All in all this is another greatly written and original Kirby fanfic from you. Admittedly any Kirby fanfic that isn’t anime based and doesn’t focus on Metaknight all the time can be counted as original but the greatly written part is something you’ve done really, really well. Fantastic job, keep up the amazing work!

And I'm a Meta fangirl, but I like the way you made him act like a jerk. Besides, it's rated comedy, so it wouldn't be quite the same if he acted all knightly and stuff! Those sorts of stories are getting boring...lol
