Really well-written and I love how the characters are portrayed.

This is an extremely well-written piece of fiction. I love how it's in the present tense-very few authors can pull that off to my satisfaction. It's interesting, it's action-filled, and the relationships are very well drawn out. I am pretty much hooked and dying for more!

Perhaps my one criticism is that you seem to be a bit harsh on Jade; I feel as if you're vilifying her, especially in the first chapter. However, as you've made the characters grow up, you seem to have taken certain traits of their and magnified them. I can see how Jade would act, well, overly needy, if that was magnified. I personally hope that she would mature a bit more, become a bit more independent...but otherwise, I feel like you got the characters spot on perfect!
