Yeah, definitely a darker note to end the story on. Good way to establish that Miracle Day did happen in the same universe as Amy Pond's wedding rather than them being separated into different universes due to reboot shenanigans. Nice stuff.

I love that line. Such an Eleven thing to say. Too bad about Martha's phone. Things would have gone so much easier if the Doctor was around to help Jack with the drug-addicted alien and the more mundane - but still nefarious - Families.

Sorry, I was looking at the Doctor's last line...no...Miracle Day was so sad...
But I really do like the dialogue in this one. Sort of wish there was more flirting, but that'd be just my mood.

I love your way of talking about the Children of Earth and Miracle Day. It works. I actually have a rec for you. /s/7496611/1/The-Fury-of-a-Storm. It's a beautiful Children of Earth fix-it fic that is totally realistic for canon and the Doctor doesn't even show up. Instead, Luke Smith manages to save the day, because while he might look like he's fifteen, he's only been alive for two years.

I love how everyone seems to team up against the doctor in this. Very entertaining!

The ending makes me want to strangle the Doctor. Give Jack the new number you fool. Then Ianto and Steven will still be alive and Earth would not have been filled with immortals.

Christ, that ending line! It changed the whole tone of the fic in an instant, and it was absolutely wonderful. I loved the reference to Waters of Mars, and Rory seeing through it.

Oh Doctor you should know that it being called a "miracle" doesn't mean it's a good thing, I wouldn't be surprised when Jack finally meets the 11th Doctor he punches him in the face... but overall really good story :D though the ending made me wince...

If I were Jack, I'd punch the Doctor in the nose. And then try to kill the guy...Time Lord...Gallifreyan Eccentric!

Good job with the frenetic dialog, but Jack wasn't angry enough. He never is angry enough, really!
