Amenzilia Poppy chapter 1 . 11/24/2012 I like your writing style, and I like that you take on a different angle to the story behind Jane and the Dragon, but I don't get your plot. You are totally out of character with Jester and I don't get how Gunther could possibly be less flaky than Jane. His motives are always either purely selfish or forced by his father. When he's not being pushed into something, or when he's not doing it simply to make himself look better, he's slacking off, or cheating his way through something. What Jester said about Jane is untrue (since when did she start and then give up things because she was tired of them? All we know about Jane's past is that she was a lady in waiting and she quit that only because it wasn't her choice) and as a shipper of JesterxJane, I just can't see Jester acting that way. Maybe if you had a multi-chapter back story to back it up but as a short story it makes little sense to me. I don't mean to criticize, that's just my opinion. |
Spectacular Super Nova chapter 1 . 4/5/2012 Wowzers... This is deep... ish. :p I can't keep straight faces for long! I kinda don't understand this, but I guess in a sense the new and bored is sorta true, I guess. I mean, well I don't really know what I mean so know I'm confused! :p Awesome though! Whadda' ya mean when she proved him right though? |
Shay-na-na chapter 1 . 8/8/2011 Wow. I did enjoy the writing. You did a wonderful job on the words of wisdom from Jester, truly stuff that we could all use in life. I really didn't like the idea though. I'm sorry. I mean, Jester is severely out of character. In the original story, NONE of her friends believed in her and Jester was the only one that did. He wouldn't have given her the armor if he didn't believe that she could do it and that she was dedicated. Which she definitely is. You can have friends while being dedicated to something. In fact friends often support you through what you are dedicated with. Gunther doesn't have friends because he can be a complete jerk and because of the reputation his father handed down. Jane would not have given her allegiance to the king if she wasn't willing to has made sacrifices for her knighthood. She has also proven her dedication many a time. And even if Jester did feel that way, I doubt that his good-nature would allow him to say so in front of everyone. Jane too, is slightly out of character. She wouldn't ask other people for assurance that she would be a good knight. Because she knows that her friends used to not have faith in her, so if she asked then not only would that make them doubt again, but it may also imply that she doesn't believe it herself. I have also never seen evidence that Jane is flaky. She sticks with something until it is done. And in real life that is real. Jane DID save the princess and was going to slay the dragon, he just befriended her. I'm sorry, please don't take this as a flame. That wasn't the intention here. You know I enjoy your writing. I just didn't enjoy the story. Writing yes. Very nice. |
