This is in my head canon, and why I find the fics where the team bash Gideon when they next see him are so OOC, especially when Rossi does it. Rossi have a lot of sympathy for people who leave because hey, he did, he told Jordan it was alright if she couldn't do it, said the same thing to Hotch at the end of Omnivore.

I totally agree with this assessment. If Foyet had killed Jack too...

I swear, if Mandy Patinkin return for a cameo, I want there to be sexual tension between Rossi and Gideon.

This story is really well written, and I enjoyed reading it, but there's one thing I don't get. Why is it rated M?

I really enjoyed seeing these moments between old friends. It really makes me wish that we had seen Gideon and Rossi interact onscreen as there must be a history there that's left up to us to fill in. This chapter, Boston, was my favorite, but then I'm a sucker for old friends making up after bitter words have been exchanged.

I love this brief first chapter - very IC!

I really like how this gives more insight into their relationship in the old BAU - something that I've always wondered about. I especially liked chapter four, with them talking about Hotch's application, Gideon's doubts about him were incredibly interesting, as well as Rossi's faith - I've always seen Hotch being closer to Rossi, and this backs it up :)

I feel almost sorry for Gideon in this chapter. With Rossi leaving, he is the only 'founder' left at the BAU, and you showed the friction that caused between them very well. It's funny, I never really liked Gideon that much before I read this, and whilst he was selfish in the end, he was also very compassionate - which this story is highlighting. Thank you for changing my perspective on him, and I hope you update soon!
