I knew the title sounded really familiar, but I couldn't place it! And then I saw your signature at the end, and I thought, "of course".

Anyway. I love a good Zuko/Ty Lee. I thought the characterization of Zuko through Ty Lee's perspective - "the glint of gold eyes hovering above her", etc. - was very well done. Great job!

Ah, I felt so sorry for Ty Lee during all of this. Knowing what her feelings were but distancing herself. Putting them behind her.

This is so beautifully written and wonderful! Love the characterization on Ty Lee. And this feels like how Ty Lee and Zuko would act if Mai isn't there. And the last line is so wonderful and so beautiful.

Enjoyable little one shot. I feel bad for Ty Lee because it feels like she is tearing herself apart on the inside because of these conflicting feelings. Cute couple yet sad circumstances.

Beautifully written. I would imagine Zuko would go to Ty Lee for comfort if anything happened to Mai (since Mai and Ty Lee appeared to be BFFs). And I love how Ty Lee knows what she is doing is wrong but stays with Zuko anyway.

The funny thing is, I actually played with this idea myself kind of. I wrote a one-shot with a somewhat similar plot (in mine, Mai is fine, but Zuko is happier with Ty Lee and Ty Lee returns his advances despite being torn to shreds over guilt). Word for word, though, I like yours better. xD It's got more depth.

I never found this couple quite as backward as another reviewer made it out to be. In fact, with all the turns the Avatar pairings took over time (first it looked like it was going to be Zuko/Katara, and then Sokka/Yue jumped off a cliff, and what was that about Toph's brief crush on Sokka?) I wouldn't have been surprised if Zuko/Ty Lee had been made into canon. I mean, it makes sense.

Anyway, you wrote this really nicely - as always. Hope you're doing well.
