This is the first time I've ever used my account on here. Just to tell you how much I love this fic.

I'm not all too good at reviewing things, but everything about this was just completely perfect. Best fic I've read in a long time.

You portrayed them well, and nicely done. I've kept wondering too.. I mean, maybe he IS the de facto leader of the gym leaders alliance. Who knows a seemingly rude old-fart would be so wise and cool like this. I totally love this fic. Just felt kinda sad knowing the limit of Cheren, and where he should stop and recollect his journey as the one of E4.

Hope you writes another fic featuring Clay in the future! And maybe you might be interested exploring Clay and Elesa! xD

Anyway, I prefer him with the name Yacon. It sounds badass.

I completely agree with you that there aren't enough Clay stories in the world; he's awesome and, in my opinion, vastly more interesting than any of the other gym leaders in Unova.

That being said, I was so glad to have found this story. I found your character analyses of White, Cheren, and Bianca to be spot on. Your emphasis on the characters' obsessions with the past, present, and future were interesting points that I had never thought of before, but now that I've seen it, it makes so much sense. I think you also did SUCH a tremendous job with keeping the characters in character. Overall, I loved the analysis. :)

I agree with you, there does need to be more Clay fics and you have by far made one of the best ones that I have ever seen. This was a very well written story and it gives the reader a lot of insight into the characters. I really enjoyed it! Good job!

Wonderful, wonderful interpretations of character. Having Clay narrate and give thought to each of the three only enriches the fic further; his sympathetic nature makes him suit the role perfectly. As White essentially has no character (save for what one can infer from perhaps her design), you did a fantastic job of fitting her in as the gray between Cheren and Bianca. Said characters were also captured vividly. My favorite observation was Cheren always striving toward the future he would never reach as White's right-hand man, Bianca always retrospective and proceeding at her own pace. And of course you nailed the surface of these characters as well, with Cheren's quiet intelligence and Bianca's affable ignorance. Every subtle nuance in your writing was perfect - your choice of words when symbolizing the characters, the usage of parentheses to generate a deeper impact, important lines set aside, to name a few.

I honestly have very little criticism to make, all of it subject to opinion or rather irrelevant, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

Anyway, this was a pleasure to read. Great job!
