Nurayy chapter 22 . 5/31 I knew from beginning as I started reading this story that it is not complete. But as I began reading from the start I found it amazing. I said it over and over again in my reviews. And now I 'm here at the point where you left it. After all these years I don't think there is much hope that you will still complete this. I don't even know if you see all these reviews and know how many readers would rejoice if you come back. And yet maybe you'll see, and that's why I beg you; Please, don't leave it here! Please come back and finish writing this exceptionally amazing story for us! Please you promised it. I really hope you are well. And to read anything from you would make so happy. |
Nurayy chapter 20 . 5/20 Brilliant this story. I'm enjoying it soooo much. Your characterizations are wonderful, perfect. So many new characters came in and I absolutely loved the way you described them. You have a way of building and keeping up tension that I would like to keep reading this story on and on. But I can see there is only two more chapters... What a pity... But I 'm going to enjoy what I can still get.. |
Nurayy chapter 18 . 5/7 Oh, wow, sooo very sad and so beautifully written. I know I'm repeating myself. But I don't know how else to praise your work. I'm not as good with words as you are. And yet after every chapter I feel as I have to at least try and let you know, if ever you will read these comments. Because your writing more than deserves it. This story is one of my absolute favorits. I love the way you write Thranduil, his appearence, his emotions, his behaviour. So very well characterized. I fear for Daerahil. I like him, and I would be shattered if the worst happened to him, and I imagine Thranduil would be too. |
Nurayy chapter 17 . 4/21 Oh wow! This was sooo intense! Masterfully done. Interwoven with those memories and packed with emotion. Powerful images. And so much love. This is sooo good! I love this story! |
Nurayy chapter 16 . 4/19 Oh my! You are taking this to the limits. I am breathless and suffering with them. So terribly cruel and sad, and how deep the suffering and grief. So vivid. This is too much. You have a way of writing that is absolutely gripping. Also the way you write the friends' characters, their thoughts, their deepest feelings, their bonds, is absolutely perfect. And when Gimli describes the contrast between the still, injured, miserable body and the proud, stubborn and shining elf, and gentle friend, it was tearing my heart. You truly make Legolas shine, with all that he endured. This is utter strength. I hope that against all odds he will live. |
Nurayy chapter 14 . 4/9 Wonderful action scenes! Legolas! Injured and drained as he is, he endures and fights with a power and speed that is beyond astonishing. What powerful description of a formidable warrior! What a strength! Yes! This is Legolas. Mighty, loyal and knowing, enduring to the end. I love him! You are doing such a great job. My words are lacking to say how much you catch me. This story is perfectly overwhelming. Just one thing I would bend it slightly different if it was for me. The way Boromir fell... It is just a personal thing, but it pains me a lot, because he is not bad, only influenced by the ring and the despair for his people's fate. So I prefer when he fell defending the hobbits. Anyway, you wrote also this AU so very well. And I love the way you write the hobbits, especially Sam. |
Nurayy chapter 13 . 4/7 Every evening since some days I am reading your story. I enjoy it so much. And it makes me go sleep way to late, because I 'm completely taken by it. I love the way you write the hobbits. The way you write the relationship between the companions, and the characterizations are so well done. And the very slight humor you weave into the conversations at times for example between Gimli and the hobbits is wonderful. Just perfect. The interactions /conversation between Sam and Legolas at the end of the chapter is heartbreaking. Oh my, Legolas, I suffer for him! |
Nurayy chapter 11 . 4/6 Every chapter of this story leaves me breathless with strongest emotions. The tension, the suspense so perfect. My heart broke at Legolas memory, at the sad parting from his brother, at how his brother and grandfather did not return, violently torn away from him. I flinched at the description of Legolas' wound. So vivid! Oh my, you're really killing me with this story! I know I repeat it, but this is just too much. Just; wow! Stunning, amazing! |
Nurayy chapter 10 . 4/4 He lives! I knew he lives.! I'm so excited. I loved the chapter. So much suspense. And I loved the part where Gimli asks "How many of me do you see?" |
Nurayy chapter 9 . 4/3 I loved how you showed what Boromir has suffered and how he relentlessly fought and suffered for his people. It is impressing and heartbreaking. You show that he is not bad and it makes one understand his actions and behaviour, driven by despair. I loved the relationship between the brothers. How Boromir is loving and worried for his younger brother. He is putting much pressure and responsibility on his shoulders. Love Faramir's characterization too. The scene with the dead girl was so terribly sad. The emotions overwhelming. I could feel the despair. And good, gentle Faramir, not aknowledged by his father. The scenes you describe are perfect. So vivid, so real. Aragorn's grief. What a wonderful friendship, he thinks lost. Oh my, this is so deeply touching. And I really hope that despite it all Legolas is alive. He must be. Cant wait to see him live. |
Nurayy chapter 8 . 4/1 Oh the grief! It is tearing me. You're killing me with this story! It is awesome! |
Nurayy chapter 7 . 4/1 I love this story! So good! The suspense, the tension is overwhelming. What a breathtaking, heartbreaking fight, what a brave warrior Legolas is! Beautiful, formidable, graceful, selfless, loyal and determined. And the despair of a father, tearing, heartwrenching and oh so wonderfully written! The despair of a brother, a best friend... Oh the emotions. Wow! |
UnnamedElement chapter 22 . 3/17 You are a truly quality writer, lovely and strong. I have loved reading this story. I’m adding it to my follows in the event you return to it some day. Thanks for writing a tale with such compelling characterizations! |
Nurayy chapter 2 . 3/14 I absolutely love the beginning of this story. It has me hooked already. I love your characterizations, the conversations and behaviour you give to the characters. I love your Legolas! And what I can already see of his friendship with Aragorn. I love your Aragorn too. And all the little glimpses that I got already on the Hobbits and Gimli. You wrote them all so well! I am so excited to read this story. I liked Legolas in the tree. And I am glad of what he said of Boromir, that he is not a bad man. He is such a tragic character. |
firepoppies chapter 22 . 10/25/2019 This will forever be one of my favourite lord of the rings fics and one of my favourite fanfictions in general (and I have been reading them for a long time!). Your characterisations are so nuanced and gorgeous (Legolas's backstory and his relationship with Aragorn destroy me, and your take on Rohan is breathtaking) and your plot is unrelenting and brilliant and your writing/descriptions are absolutely stunning and so wonderfully vivid. Whether or not you decide to finish it, I will always come back to it and love reading it as much as I did the first time, and thank you for writing such an utterly amazing story friend! |
