I don't read too many Sherlock stories, but yours made me want to explore the series further. You did an excellent job, and I really like how you had Lestrade define John into those categories. This describes Watson very well, in addition to doing so from another character's point of view. Awesome!

Seeing how Lestrade changes his mind about plain, bland Dr. John Watson is great.

Because I'm sure everybody wonders why Sherlock Holmes has him around.

This was very nice. I like how Lestrade realized he had underestimated John and how he sees how he's having a positive effect on Sherlock. I think you should add John as the second character along with Lestrade so that more people will be able to find this story later on.

Also, I'm not sure if you already know about this, but you might also get more feedback if you allow anonymous reviews. The default on the site is to only accept signed reviews. A nice introspective character study. I enjoyed how you used Lestrade as the POV of the story, and how through his eyes we got to see all the things he'd discovered about John.

A great little companion piece. I like how this one is Lestrade's opinion after the background check. The description of John is very accurate, and I love how you give a little snippet of how they started reading John's blog.
