I read half the story years ago. I thought about it recently and was happy to see it was finished quite a while ago. You're writing is what made me finally write my own FanFiction.

As for the story this is very well done, your character development is flawless. And even though you hinted at it quite a lot, the reveal at the end still made my heart race. Very rarely does a FanFiction accomplish that. I really felt my emotions change as the story went on and I felt sympathy for each one of these characters. Awesome work. 10/10. Thank you for giving the fandom such a flawless story of what could have been.

This was an excellent pair of stories, and I'm pleased, in a melancholic sort of way, that you embraced the one fact I feel should hold true with all vampire stories - they should not have happy endings.

That was...was...so sad :( and very realistic at the same time. i applaud you because honestly, this is probably how the story might end. of course, i'm sure the show won't do so because it IS on CBBC but hey, a girl can dream :)

Yes! Another update! It was so long since the last one that I had to reread the whole story. Still as good as I remembered. Vlad and his balancing act between good and evil is still as captivating as before.

Another thing that struck me in the beginning was your depiction of the council members. You masterfully avoided making them into stereotypes. They are opponents to Vlad but they are still clever, passionate and powerful people. Their cause might be a different one from Vlad but they are still true to it which makes you respect them. And characters you respect, even if they are on the opposite side, is characters who are good opponents.

Your epilogue was exceptionally tasteful. In fact I very nearly cried reading it, I'm a big fan of Robin and it was so very poignant.

On the business end your ending leaves just enough open for the imagination to run on, without leaving any real loose ends which would annoy the reader. I think your effort was worth it in the end, really shows how far you've come.

Fantastic story, you completely deviated from any of the other stories on the fandom creating two brilliant stories! :D
I love this ending, it shows that despite it all Vlad has humanity left in him and he thinks Damien may be able to beat the bloodlust where he failed.
The epilougue is great, I love how we just see Lucy again briefly.
As for this new fic I would love to read and will eagerly wait for it!

God damn it, I liked Dmitri, though that was a rather clever twist, even if it was rather obvious after Jonathan died. The question is, what happens to Robin now?

Anyway, your writing has definitely improved, it's nice to read people's stuff that doesn't require thinking about what they mean. Can't wait for the end sequence. :)
