I often have issues with holey character development or fast and unrealistic character development, but neither of those are an issue in your story. It's amazing! I absolutely love that you didn't kill Sophia, but I beg you to kill off Carol. Please. Make it her fault too, that would show her. I'm not saying it should be immediate - I love when she makes an ass of herself, as she's been doing recently. I can't wait to see what Shane is up to...the suspense is killing me!
