Mar chapter 12 . 4/30/2018 A wonderful, wonderful story. I just knew Jenny was alive. |
Piscean6724 chapter 12 . 10/17/2015 This is one of the best stories I have ever read. Kudos! |
donna t chapter 12 . 10/13/2014 What a great story. I like a happy ending and this had a good plot and enough angst to keep me riveted. Thank you for a well written and original story |
Mary Lou chapter 7 . 12/15/2013 Wow. This was a tough chapter to read. I am sure that it was rough for you to write also. I was wondering if Roy was going to blame Johnny for Jenny's death. Now I know. |
Mary Lou chapter 3 . 12/15/2013 As if the rescue, plus becoming injured himself was not enough, Johnny now finds that one of the girls on the bus was Jenny. He won't know until later if Jenny was one of the injured girls or one of the dead ones. I am also wondering if the woman that was killed on the bus was not Joanne Desoto. She might have been a chaperone. |
M'LissyLou chapter 12 . 10/26/2013 I just found this story, and I liked it very much. Of course I recognized the Taylor University connection, and I don't think the story would have been believable without the knowledge that such an unbelievable thing had happened in real life. But since it did, it made your story really good. I can see how some people predicted it, but I didn't, not until Johnny said it was Jenny did I ever even think of that. As soon as he did, the story all fell into place. I was glad Roy made things right with Johnny before he knew that Jenny was alive. And I liked Jenny naming the horse Junior. Both were nice touches. |
Guest chapter 6 . 10/7/2013 I do hope Roy does not continue to blame Johnny for Jenny's death. That would kill Johnny, too. If his own guilt for not being able to save doesn't do it first. |
SaraiEsq chapter 12 . 7/22/2012 This was really nice. Was it inspired by the Taylor University mistaken identity case a few years back? |
starlight guardian chapter 12 . 12/2/2011 These days, no ID is done w/o dental records or DNA or mitochondrial whatever. But back when the series was on, oh yeah it could happen. I am so happy for John and Roy and family, but I am curious about the logistics. Do they just did up the other one and have another funeral, do they change the tombstone? You did a wonderful job describing what the DeSoto family endured, I just wonder about the Wyatts. |
ploring chapter 12 . 6/9/2011 Read it in one sitting and had a pretty could cry! Simplified at times but loved the emotions from Roy. Thank you |
juniper294 chapter 12 . 6/8/2011 the second you mentioned the bracelets, I predicted that they mixed the girls up. thought the story was good, sad, and interesting! |
helpmehelpu101 chapter 12 . 5/31/2011 One of the best emergency stories I've read! You had me crying through the whole thing but the ending was deffiently the best part! Your a great writer and I can't wait to read more of ur stories :D |
Ginger S chapter 12 . 5/27/2011 I just caught up and finished your story. Wow! you've done a great job with it! I'm so glad there was a happy ending. |
Thaena chapter 12 . 5/26/2011 very good story. I wonder3d if you were going for a "Taylor University" type story about Chap 6. That was a big thing here in IN. A big push for child ID kits after that and lots of parents mapping their children's bodies for any and all identifiable signs. Your writing is good and I've been enjoying it. Your action and dialog are well balanced, your characterizations believable. One note of caution and it's a trap many of us writers fall into...watch out for the terrible loss of contractions or as one of my friend's calls it-Data speak from Data of Star Trek. He can't use contractions so always says can not is not etc. Some times it is need for the person speaking is being emphatic. All in all. I've very much enjoyed your stories and forward to much more from you. Good Job! |
Emergfankat chapter 12 . 5/26/2011 What a wonderful story! I'm still drying my eyes! This reminds of a real story a few years ago where two girl roomates were in a car accident and both were severly injured around the head and face. Both looked similiar before the accident and so it made indentification difficult. Well, one died, but like this story, the wrong family grieved! Holy Cow! You did a great job with the story and you kept me on my seat the entire time! |
