This was cool to read and an intresting add on for the wizards of ceres.

My heart is melting. Simply melting. I don't suppose you'd consider writing a story (preferably a multi-chapter one) revolving around Fai and Ashura could you? I've always had a soft spot for fics that center around Fai's hildhod, especially where Ashura is involved.

I'm not sure how you wanted to portray Ashura in your other works, but this seems (to me anyway haha) a perfect depiction of the king. Manipulative, but he has his heart - well, most of it - in the right way. If that's even possible :)

What a neat way to explore Ashura and Fai's relationship in your AU setting (and something that can probably work well for TRC verse) - how Ashura uses love to convince Fai to do something for him. Definitely better than using fear tactics, but of course a relationship like that is something that isn't quite the healthiest for Fai (which is where Kurogane comes in, anytime, anywhere). But still, the fact he was the first to make Fai eat mirrors how he taught Fai to smile in TRC and therefore, the first to bestow him kindness.

Your display of such a layered Ashura, calculating and starkly practical, but with touches of kindness. The kindness makes him appear younger and a little hesitant as though he isn't sure he is doing it right. As a reader I enjoy returning to the world you have created and savor each new piece that is added.

Ooo this is a re-write of the previously posted one-shot nee? But I do love this one-shot, oh Ashura -hearts- he is such an awesome character, the way he is both kind and cold-hearted and whatever he needs to be to be the best ruler (from his point of view).

And I'm not a big fan of Ashura but I don't hate him. I guess it's nice that he's trying to help Yuui. I got a small smile out of that. Though the method was a bit...ugh, if i can find the word for it, it'd be that.

Though he's technically not Yuui's parent. I think the term 'Guardian' fits him well. _
