Damn, I wish you'd finish this. !

I wanted to review at the end but i could not stop myself now. What is Gwen even thinking? Is she crazy? First she cheats on her husband to loved her to bits, than has the nerve to put the blame on him? Guilty conscience or not. She did wrong and she should admit it to herself rather than finding reprieve somewhere else.

Adequate.

As always, everything is just intense.
Everyone dies- especially the poor kids! Yeeash!
I'm really wondering what in the world comes next.

My enjoyable read of The Seond Prince lead me to this story. I loved all the political intrigue, the unexpected twists, the very "human" characters both good and bad...all the hallmarks of a great story. I am looking forward to reading the remainder of the story. Thank you!

Although given the content of the chapter I feel more like ahhhhhh. Poor Gwen. Poor Arthur. This is such a depressing chapter. Ever since Merlin and Morgana disappeared, the emotions are just so somber and everything just seems to get worse and worse, sadder and sadder.
I can't wait for the next chapter.

Hi, I've just been reading this wonderful story. It's a shame that nobody has reviewed for a whole year as this is one of the best stories I've read in a long time. I do hope you manage to finish it.

Well that hurt.

Everything Gwen says makes sense. And yet, Prince Arthur fought so valiantly against all those courtly ideas when he was younger; he swore he wouldn't be the kind of a king to bow down to such prejudice. To see him give in here is... understandable, but still saddening.

You warned me of Gaius and Alice's deaths, so I wasn't very shocked by that. They were old and (mostly) happy. I'm actually a bit annoyed Gaius outlived Arthur on the show itself.

I liked Gwen's imaginery conversation with Gwen, and even the idea of suicide that crossed her mind. It's almost cruel that she has to leave her husband now, when she understands him more than she did before.

Oh.

I did not see the ending coming. The scene previous to the ending, that is. I'm really glad Gwen turned up though. Arthur needed someone he loves by his side, though... I have to ask: Are all their troubles in the past now? Or will they come back to haunt them?

Poor Gaius. Poor Hunith. Poor everyone, really. You're right that you gave them the first glimpse of light, but they're mostly surrounded by darkness still. Can't wait to find out where you're going with this!

And yet again I'm left with the feeling things couldn't be worse. I get that feeling every chapter. And yet you put these characters in more trouble every single time. How do you manage it? ;-)

Still curious to see how this will unfold.

Oh, wow. You never shy away from (emotional) drama and tear-provoking storylines, but I really wasn't prepared for the impact of this chapter. Everything is going wrong, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it at this point. I love the references to the Christians/Old Religion war (of sorts) and the fact that the death of Arthur's oldest daughter unwittingly put him in the Christian camp.

Most of all, I absolutely loved the scenes involving Arthur this chapter. Kilgharrah's test was cruel but probably necessary and Arthur definitely made the right decision. I'm glad he acknowledged the boy as his (despite suspecting it's Lance's). Really curious as to how you plan on getting these characters out of this mess - at least partially. It seems to me things couldn't be more terrible, but I'm probably wrong.

(und auch dass ich jetz endlich einmal die Zeit gefunden habe dir wieder zu schreiben).
Ich habe mich unheimlich gefreut als ich gesehen habe dass du ein neues Kapitel geschrieben hast;
Nun aber zum Kapitel:
Dass du an dem Punkt an dem die Schlacht schon fast verloren war den Drachen wieder ins Spiel gebracht hast fand ich wunderbar; Ich hatte schon gedacht jetzt ist es aus für Arthur;
Das Ende fand ich auch sehr gut; Man kann sich zwar denken was nachher kommen wird und trotzdem will man weiterlesen. (zummindest ist das bei mir so)
Und wieder warte ich gespannt wie es weitergeht...

There's so much going on here, just like a real battle like that would cause, you write the scene really well! :D

Loved the way Lancelots thoughts kept going from Arthur to Merlin and his own :)
