Oh so sad but thanks for the very good read I know what it is like to see a dead body I found my husband dead on the settee when I came down the next morning to go to work it is not nice but I'm glad I did not watch it though but its still very sad.

This is lovely, but I never expected anything less. Such a perfect portrayal of the friendship between the three of them, peppered with so many different emotions. Ultimately, it ended up leaving me feeling warm and fuzzy inside thanks to the ending. I'd never have expected that from a Red Mile tag - and now you've got me missing Steiner again!

Very sweet and humorous. :) Great job on everyone's voice, especially Lisbon's. This little exchange is one of my favorite parts: "Not right away. I watch her turn the lights on, make sure everything looks safe." Jane's face got a strange look on it – sweet, and sad. "She doesn't know that you do that, does she?" "No." I also love this bit: "Lisbon wished she'd had some warning. Sure, that witch lady a few years ago had freaked him out pretty bad, but that was different. Magic and spells and superstition were one thing…but aliens? Aliens?"

HEre are the absolutely BEST lines:

"Sometimes it seemed like his whole universe was shrinking down to a single, dingy room." Good observation, well conveyed.

"Of course, Jane didn't want to talk. Lisbon remembered something he'd said last fall: "You almost got me talking…" Like it was something he actively guarded against, every moment of every day. Like she was trying to trick him somehow, by getting him to open up. As if that was the only way." Yes! There are many episodes where this happens, but I never connected them 'til now. Thanks!

"Lisbon could sense the delicacy of the situation, as though a wild finch had fluttered down to land in her open palm. No noises, no sudden movements. She was afraid to even look at him, lest he fly away." Absolutely beautiful...

"Jane looked delighted. "Cho?" he asked curiously, "Were you abducted?"

Cho wouldn't meet their eyes. "I don't know," he said. "Maybe." Like - WTF? Wow! Never saw that coming. Fantastic.

"Seconds later, Cho walked in, returning from wherever he'd been for the last fifteen minutes. Lisbon didn't even have a guess. The bathroom? The parking lot? The moon?"

Okay, I'll stop now. This whole story is lovely. Absolutely lovely. You have a fan!

B-street

Whew! That was so good. I loved everything about it! Especially Cho's alien scare. Thinking back on that episode you mentioned about the witch and spells or curses, it now seems so out of character for Cho to be spooked by something and yet it is canon. Just a funny quirk to his character I guess, so this fit right in. Great job! And Lisbon was so sweet to Jane when he really needed her most and couldn't ask. Sigh.
