Feanariel chapter 20 . 9/25/2019
This is hilarious! Probably the best Silmarillion parody I have read :)
WalkingInTalaria chapter 14 . 11/27/2015
Oh, I loved this one so much (or, at least, as much as I could given the fact that Fingon died in this one...) For some strange reason, despite the many hilarious lines in this chapter, my all-time favorite was "Thingol sent Maedhros scornful words." I think I like it because it gives me a reason to dislike Thingol as much as I please. (This is not to say, of course, that the rest of the jokes put in here aren't amazing, of course!)
WalkingInTalaria chapter 13 . 11/27/2015
Awesome retelling of the Lay of Leithian! Probably my favorite one was "Finrod is no oath-breaker - but he's afraid his cousins aren't either." Perfect.
WalkingInTalaria chapter 9 . 11/27/2015
"Ulmo told Turgon about a secret valley where he could build a city...not that anyone ever listens to him.
"Ulmo is shocked. Turgon actually listened to him." This was perfect. I begin to sense a motif of Ulmo giving people good advice that could save countless lives... and then no one ever listens to him, so I can just imagine his pleased surprise when Turgon actually listens to him and founds Gondolin, excuse me, Ondolindë.

Thank you, Angrod!
Sauron Gorthaur chapter 20 . 11/22/2012
Very nicely done. The whole thing was amusing and a thoroughly enjoyable read. The last chapter here was no exception. I loved Anarion’s “will be watching via palantir, though!” I laughed pretty hard with that one. Sauron’s post about losing his pretty form and world domination was another one that had me laughing. And the last post was a very clever reference to the book and an amusing ending. All in all, nice work. I think humor can be one of the hardest things to write, but you seem to have a good handle on it. Thanks for sharing :) Cheers!

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 19 . 11/22/2012
Great rendition of Akallabeth! I feel I’m getting repetitive, but very funny. I liked the posts about the King’s Men liking human sacrifices and the Faithful avoiding being sacrificed. The juxtaposition was pretty amusing. And Sauron’s post after that was great – I’ll bet he is loving watching the silly, little men fight with each other. I imagine him snickering behind their backs as the men try to sacrifice each other and such. I also liked the posts about Numenor leaving the Perfect Weather group and All Roads joining the group Bent – quite clever. That last one especially got a laugh from me. I loved Sauron’s post about defying the lightning, too – he would like Facebook, I think, since it’s got so much to do with showing yourself off to the world and he’s pretty good at that. My favorite post was Ar-Pharazon’s about being stuck in the cave – it’s funny, but at the same time, it kind of made me think. It is ironic that he does end up with eternal life after all.

Great work! Keep on writing!

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 15 . 11/22/2012
This one felt a little weird – there’s something a tad wrong about laughing over Turin’s story. I didn’t know it was actually possible to make this story amusing in any way, shape, or form, but somehow, in a twisted sort of way, you managed to do it. Hats off to you.

Anyway, once again, very funny, and there were plenty of posts that were clever and amusing. My favorite posts had to be Glaurung’s about inflicting amnesia, Anglachel’s about drinking Turin’s blood (as morbid as it is), and that last one. Turin probably wins a prize for most names – I think he has more than Aragorn even. Having all his names there listed in a row is pretty amusing, and Mablung’s dilemma is even more so.

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 13 . 11/22/2012
Excellent Facebook rendition of my favorite Silm story! Very, very funny. There were quite a few “posts” here that got me laughing. I loved Finrod’s post about being an oath-breaker – very clever. I also loved Sauron’s post about being defeated by a girl and a dog – poor Sauron is never ever going to be able to live that one down, is he? I think my favorite one of all, however, was Beren’s post about having a Silmaril in his hand. The way it was phrased really made me giggle. And I love how you have stuff that keeps popping up, like the group for all the one-handed people – did you have to write all the groups down to remember? But it is actually a pretty good way to see the reoccurring themes, like the whole obsession with losing hands or having them maimed. Anyhow, I’m still enjoying it a lot. Good work! Keep on writing!

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 9 . 11/21/2012
I’m still enjoying it a lot. I thought it might get a little old after the first few chapters, but it’s still funny. Since I am completely incapable of writing humor, I appreciate a writer who is able to do it and to sustain it for something as long as this. I loved the Morgoth and Maedhros posts about not deceiving the master of deceit and the good view. Also amusing was Ulmo’s reaction to Turgon listening to him. The thing about the omnious dreams was pretty funny too. And I like that you even add the so and so likes this after many of the posts. Quite amusing. Keep on writing!

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 4 . 11/21/2012
Hah, so much drama with the Noldor and Feanor – it’s like something you might actually find on Facebook. And I love Ulmo – his background drone of complaining about being ignored is very funny. Poor Ulmo, no one really does ever listen to him, do they? He’s like the unpopular kid on Facebook who everyone ignores. And Mandos would like the word doom – is it perhaps because his author was quite fond of that word? And I loved that last “post.” That really is an extremely amusing moment when you think about it, and though it’s dreadfully arrogant of Feanor, you can’t help but laugh at Melkor.

Great work. Keep on writing!

Sauron Gorthaur chapter 1 . 11/21/2012
Haha, brilliant idea – very clever. I love it. Very good job of making the Silmarillion characters sound like a bunch of socializing and bickering teens, especially with Aule and Eru’s argument and subsequent making up. My favorite line had to be Melkor’s there in the middle. The LOL just made it perfect. And I liked Nienna’s “helped too, actually” – again, she sounded exactly like an offended and perhaps slightly immature teenager. I could totally hear her saying it in a snooty, offended voice.

Good work :) Keep on writing!

Vilinye chapter 20 . 4/7/2012
Lord of the Rings version, perhaps? Pretty please?
The Random Hummingbird chapter 20 . 4/5/2012
Hilarious, as always! I suppose you'll be posting the LoTR version in the LoTR section? I can't wait! Just a minor note, it looks like an 'h' was accidentally added to "Istari."
chisscientist chapter 19 . 3/11/2012
You haven't discussed second age events in Middle-earth. Will you do the fall of Eregion and related events in the next chapter?
